PROGRAM “REMBUG SAHABAT” BAGI FASILITATOR SEBAYA DALAM PENCEGAHAN BULLYING

Bullying masih marak terjadi di antara anak dan remaja termasuk di kota Yogyakarta. Studi pendahuluan pada 739 siswa SMAN di kota Yogyakarta menunjukkan bahwa 396 siswa (54%) mengaku pernah melihat perilaku bullying di lingkungan sekolah dan 100 siswa (13%) merasa menjadi korban bullying. Hal tersebut menunjukkan masih banyak ancaman fisik dan psikis di lingkungan sekolah, namun penanganan dari orang dewasa dirasa belum maksimal. Remaja memiliki kelekatan dengan teman sebaya sehingga pendekatan teman sebaya perlu dikembangkan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan bullying di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji program anti bullying yaitu “rembug sahabat” untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan bullying serta keterampilan fasilitator diskusi kelompok. Subjek penelitian adalah 18 siswa kelas XI SMA Negri di kota Yogyakarta dimana 9 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 9 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Desain penelitian yaitu untreated group witu pretest and posttest design dan analisis data menggunakan anava mixed design. Hasil analisis menunjukkan perubahan signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen yaitu perbedaan rerata -3.556; p<0,01 untuk pengetahuan bullying dan perbedaan rerata -22.500; p<0,01 pada keterampilan fasilitator diskusi kelompok dibandingkan kelompok kontrol yaitu perbedaan rerata -2.667; p>0,01 untuk pengetahuan bullying dan perbedaan rerata -4.222; p>0,01 untuk keterampilan fasilitator diskusi kelompok. Hal tersebut menunjukkan program “rembug sahabat” dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan bullying dan keterampilan fasilitator diskusi kelompok.

Bullying still frequently occurs among children and teenagers in Jogjakarta. Previous study on 739 students of public senior high schools in Jogjakarta shows that 396 students (54%) confessed that they had seen bullying behaviors in school, while 100 students (13%) believed that they had become the victims of such behavior. This reveals that both physical and psychological threads are still happening in schools but treatment programs by adults are still considered insufficient to solve this problem. Teens usually have a very strong attachment to their peers, thus peer approach needs to be developed in order to solve bullying problems in school. This research aims to test an anti-bullying program namely “Rembug Sahabat” for enhancing bullying’s knowledge and facilitator’s skill by utilizing group discussion. Subject were 18 public high school students, 9 studets as the experimental group and 9 others as a control group. The design used are untreated group with pretest and posttest design. Quantitative data was analyzed by using Anava Mixed Design. The result is significantly change in experiment group: Mean Difference=- 3.556; p<0,01 for bullying’s knowledge and Mean Difference=- 22.500; p<0,01 for facilitators’ skill by utilizing group discussion compare with control group: Mean Difference= -2.667; p>0,01 for knowledge on bullying and Mean Difference= -4.222; p>0,01 for facilitators’ skill by utilizing group discussion. It means “rembug sahabat” program was effective for enhancing bullying’s knowledge and facilitators’ skill by utilizing group discussion.
