BORJUASI DI PRANCIS PADA MASA KEKAISARAN II : ANALISIS WACANA KRITIS TERHADAP NOVEL LA FORTUNE DES ROUGON KARYA ÉMILE ZOLA

Pergantian sistem pemerintahan serta pemimpin negara sejak Revolusi Prancis, menimbulkan perubahan-perubahan di Prancis. Perubahan di segala aspek seperti sosial, ekonomi, politik telah menimbulkan perubahan dalam sistem stratifikasi sosial di masyarakat. Munculnya kelas sosial baru, yaitu kaum borjuasi di antara kelas-kelas yang telah ada sebelumnya, mengakibatkan pro-kontra serta mempengaruhi setiap aspek kehidupan. Pro-kontra ini termuat dalam karya sastra dari salah satu pengarang terkenal Prancis, yaitu La fortune des Rougon karya Émile Zola. La fortune des Rougon merupakan novel pertama dari kumpulan novel Les Rougon-Macquart yang menggambarkan kehidupan borjuasi di Prancis pada masa Kekaisaran II oleh Louis-Charles Napoléon, yang menjadi sebuah kekuatan baru khususnya dalam ekonomi dan politik negara. Penelitian ini akan menganalisis kehidupan kelas sosial baru tersebut dan upaya-upaya mereka untuk menaiki strata sosial yang lebih tinggi serta memahami ideologi yang terdapat dalam novel tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis wacana kritis yang membantu menganalisis tentang sosio-kultural yang berpengaruh terhadap wacana yang ada di dalam karya sastra.

Since the French Revolution, the shifts in the French government system as well as in the leadership of the country, brought several differences, such as social, economic, and political disparities, which had led to alteration in social stratification. The emergence of bourgeoisie among the classes that have been there before, resulted in the pros and cons that affected every life aspect. One evidence that discussed is the literary work from one of the French most famous authors of that period, Émile Zola, called La fortune des Rougon. La fortune des Rougon is the first novel of the Les Rougon-Macquart anthology depicting the life of bourgeoisie in France during the Second Empire ruled by Louis-Charles Napoléon. This research attempts to analyze the life of these new social classes and their attempts to climb to the higher social levels, as well as to understand the ideology of the novel. This research uses critical discourse analysis methods that help to analyze the sociocultural impact.
