THE FREQUENCY USAGE OF TRAMADOL BETWEEN SARDJITO HOSPITAL AND SLEMAN GENERAL DISTRICT HOSPITAL

Background: OA is a heterogeneous group of conditions that lead to joint symptoms and sign which are associated with defective integrity of articular cartilage. RA is autoimmune disease or inflammatory disease that lead to joint symptoms and sign associated with the joint inflammed, pain,stiff,hot, and redness. Objective: To analyse and compare the frequency of differences of tramadol usage between Sardjito Hospital and Sleman General District Hospital Method: This is a quantitative observational study using a cross-sectional frame with descriptive analytic study. The study was conducted by observing the patient’s medical records between Sardjito Hospital’s Geriatric and Internal Medicine Polyclinics and Sleman General District Hospital. All patient’s status that fulfill the inclusion criteria, determined from their medical records are included in this research for participation. The inclusion criteria are : Those who diagnosed with OA and RA according to American College of Rheumatology (ACR) 1987 criteria and people in any ages. The results are then analyzed. Results: Based on the research conducted on 248 OA patients and 40 RA patients in Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta, only 63 peoples who receive Tramadol as their drug prescription. It is higher compared to research conducted on Sleman General District Hospital on 24 OA patients and 0 RA patients who only 2 peoples receive Tramadol as their drug prescription Conclusion: There’s significant difference between amount of OA and RA patients between Sardjito Hospital and Sleman General District Hospital. The total amount of tramadol prescriptions for OA and RA patients are higher in Sardjito Hospital compared to Sleman General District Hospital.
