UJI SENSITIVITAS Mycobacterium non tuberculosis TERHADAP DOKSISKLIN DAN RIFAMPISIN SECARA IN VITRO Yehezkiel Nathanael Setiadi*, Praseno*, Ludhang Pradipta Rizki** *Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Gadjah Mada **Bagian Mikrobiologi, Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Gadjah Mada Latar Belakang: Prevalensi infeksi paru yang disebabkan oleh Mycobacterium non tuberculosis semakin meningkat. Infeksi yang disebabkan Mycobacterium non tuberculosis akan menimbulkan gejala dan tanda yang sama dengan infeksi Tuberculosis sehingga sulit dibedakan secara klinis. Pengobatan yang dilakukan terhadap pasien dengan infeksi Mycobacterium non tuberculosis tidak dibedakan dengan infeksi Tuberculosis padahal antibiotik standar untuk terapi Tuberculosis tidak poten terhadap Mycobacterium non tuberculosis terutama tipe rapidly growing. Tujuan: Mengetahui sensitivitas Mycobacterium non tuberculosis terhadap doksisiklin dan rifampisin. Membandingkan efek doksisiklin dan rifampisin pada Mycobacterium non tuberculosis. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional. Subjek penelitian adalah isolat klinis Mycobacterium non tuberculosis tipe rapidly growing koleksi laboratorium Mikrobiologi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Gadjah Mada. Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) dari doksisiklin dan rifampisin dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Mycobacterium non tuberculosis yang diuji dengan metode macrobroth dilution. Hasil: Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) dari 7 isolat Mycobacterium non tuberculosis terhadap rifampisin, sebanyak 7 dari 7 isolat (100%) dinyatakan resisten. KHM dari 7 isolat Mycobacterium non tuberculosis terhadap doksisiklin, sebanyak 4 isolat (57,1%) sensitive, 1 isolat (14,2%) intermediate, dan 2 isolat (28,6%) resisten. Kesimpulan: Aktivitas Rifampisin tidak dapat menghambat pertumbuhan Mycobacterium non tuberculosis tipe rapidly growing. Antibiotik Doksisiklin memiliki aktivitas yang lebih poten dibandingkan dengan Rifampisin.

IN VITRO APPROACH OF Mycobacterium non tuberculosis SENSITIVITY TESTING AGAINST DOXYCYCLINE AND RIFAMPICIN Yehezkiel Nathanael Setiadi*, Praseno*, Ludhang Pradipta Rizki** *Undergraduate Student of Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Gadjah Mada **Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Gadjah Mada Backgrounds: Prevalence of pulmonary infection that caused by Mycobacterium non tuberculosis increase. Infection which is caused by Mycobacterium non tuberculosis will have same signs and symptoms with Tuberculosis infection, so it will be hard to distinguish by clinical approach. Treatment for the patient with Mycobacterium non tuberculosis is not different with Tuberculosis infection. Standard antibiotic for Tuberculosis therapy is not potent against Mycobacterium non tuberculosis especially the rapidly growing mycobacterium. Objectives: To know Mycobacterium non tuberculosis sensitivity against doxycycline and rifampicin. To compare the effect of doxycycline and rifampisin against Mycobacterium non tuberculosis. Methods: This study was observational study. The research subjects were clinical isolate of rapidly growing mycobacterium, collections of Microbiology Laboratory, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Gadjah Mada. The Minimal Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of doxycycline and rifampicin were examined using macro broth dilution method. Results: Minimal Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of 7 rapidly growing mycobacterium isolates against rifampicin, 7 isolates (100%) resistant. MIC of 7 rapidly growing mycobacterium isolates against doxycycline, 4 isolates (57,1%) sensitive, 1 isolates (14,2%) intermediate, and 2 isolates (28,6%) resistant. Conclutions: Rifampicin activity cannot inhibit the growth of rapidly growing mycobacterium. Doxycycline activity is more potent compared to rifampicin.
