ANALISIS KELAYAKAN INDUSTRI TEH CELUP BERBAHAN BAKU SIMPLISIA CIPLUKAN (Physalis angulata L) DI PROVINSI D.I YOGYAKARTA

Ciplukan adalah salah satu tanaman obat di Indonesia yang mempunyai khasiat utama untuk menurunkan kadar gula darah. Teh Ciplukan merupakan satu-satunya produk baru yang mengemas tanaman ciplukan dalam bentuk teh herbal. Keunikan produk ini diiringi semakin meningkatnya peluang produk sehat di pasaran menjadikan usaha teh ciplukan berpeluang untuk dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) menganalisis kelayakan usaha teh ciplukan berdasarkan aspek pasar, aspek teknis, dan aspek finansial. (2) menganalisis tingkat sensitivitas proyek usaha terhadap kenaikan harga bahan, kenaikan gaji pegawai, dan penurunan harga jual produk. Informasi tentang industri teh ciplukan diperoleh berdasarkan pengamatan produksi teh, survei pasar dan wawancara. Berdasarkan analisis aspek pasar, minat masyarakat untuk teh ciplukan cukup tinggi (61%). Namun sebagian besar tidak tahu tentang manfaat ciplukan (74%). Atribut yang paling penting dalam teh herbal adalah rasa. Dan berdasarkan uji sensori, teh ciplukan unggul dalam rasa tapi lemah pada atribut warna. Target konsumen teh ciplukan adalah kalangan penderita diabetes. Pada analisis aspek teknis, bahan baku tersedia dengan kapasitas industri 46 produk per hari, tenaga kerja 3 orang, dan ruang produksi 47,87 m2. Pada analisis aspek keuangan, PBP (1 tahun), NPV (Rp 346.464.949,-), IRR (85,19%), BCR (1,5) dan BEP (Rp 165.487.833,-). Industri teh ciplukan tidak layak jika harga produk menurun sebesar 18,25%.
The demand of herbal medicine increases along with the increase of the awareness of society toward health. Ciplukan is one of the medicinal plant in Indonesia that useful for lowering blood glucose level. Ciplukan tea is the only new herbal product made from ciplukan. The uniqueness of this product is supported by the increase of the potential market of herbal product. The business of Ciplukan tea has opportunity therefore to be well developed. The objectives of this study are (1) to identify the degree of feasibility of ciplukan tea business from market, technical and financial aspects. (2) to analyze the sensitivity level of the business on the increase of material price and employee salary and the decrease of the product price as well. The information about ciplukan tea industry was obtained based on observation of tea production, market survey and interview. Based on the market aspect analysis, there was a high interest from people on the product of ciplukan tea and the percentage reached 61 %. However, seventy four percent (74 %) of them didnot know about the benefit of ciplukan. The most important attribute of herbal product was flavor. Based on the sensory test, ciplukan tea was good in flavor but weak in color. The consumers target of ciplukan tea was mainly diabetics. Based on the technical aspect analysis, the raw materials were adequate for capacity of 46 products per day with 3 employees, and the production space of 47,87 m2. Based on the financial aspect analysis, the Pay Back Period (PBP) was 1 year, the Net Precent Value (NPV) was Rp 346.464.949,- , the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) was 85,19 %, the Benefit/ Cost Rating (BCR) was 1,5 and the Break Even Point (BEP) was Rp 165.487.833,-. Industry of ciplukan tea wasnot feasible if the product price decreases up to 18,25 %.
