PENGARUH BAHAN STERILISASI KALSIUM HIDROKSIDA DENGAN BAHAN PENCAMPUR SALINE, CHLORHEXIDINE DIGLUCONATE 2% DAN LIDOCAINE HCL 2% TERHADAP KEKERASAN MIKRO DENTIN PADA SEGMEN DUAPERTIGA SERVIKAL SALURAN AKAR

2013 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu Konservasi GigiKalsium hidroksida (Ca(OH)₂) adalah salah satu bahan medikamen intrakanal yang efektif karena memiliki sifat biologis yang sangat menguntungkan, namun terdapat hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kontak langsung kalsium hidroksida dengan dinding saluran akar, berpengaruh terhadap perubahan sifat fisik dentin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan sterilisasi kalsium hidroksida dengan bahan pencampur saline, chlorhexidine digluconat 2% dan lidocaine HCL 2% terhadap kekerasan mikro dentin pada segmen duapertiga servikal saluran akar. Objek penelitian menggunakan 30 gigi premolar pertama mandibula. Gigi dipotong mahkota anatomisnya dan saluran akar dipreparasi dengan teknik crown down. Akar gigi dipotong horisontal pada segmen duapertiga servikal sepanjang 4 mm, kemudian segmen akar ditanam dalam resin akrilik. Objek penelitian dibagi menjadi enam kelompok, sesuai dengan jenis bahan pencampur dan lama kontak. Pada kelompok IA dan IB diaplikasikan pasta Ca(OH)₂ dengan bahan pencampur saline dengan lama kontak 7 hari dan 14 hari. Kelompok IIA dan IIB diaplikasikan pasta Ca(OH)₂ denagn bahan pencampur chlorhexidine digluconate 2% dengan lama kontak 7 hari dan 14 hari. Sedangkan pada kelompok IIIA dan IIIB diaplikasikan pasta Ca(OH)₂ dengan bahan pencampur lidocaine HCL 2% dengan lama kontak 7 hari dan 14 hari. Selama waktu perlakuan, objek disimpan dalam inkubator pada suhu 37°C. Pengukuran kekerasan mikro dentin saluran akar setelah kontak langsung dengan pasta Ca(OH)2 dilakukan dengan alat Vickers Indenter Microhardness Tester. Data yang didapat dianalisis dengan uji Anava 2 jalur dan dilanjutkan dengan uji LSD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bahan sterilisasi kalsium hidroksida dengan bahan pencampur saline, chlorhexidine digluconat 2% dan lidocaine HCL 2% berpengaruh terhadap kekerasan mikro dentin pada segmen duapertiga servikal saluran akar.
Calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)₂) is one of the ingredients that are very effective as intracanal medicaments because it has a beneficial biological properties, but there are studies which indicate that direct contact of calcium hydroxide to dentine root canal, influences the change in the physical properties of dentine. This study aimed to determine the effect of calcium hydroxide as an intracanal medicament with the vehicles of saline, chlorhexidine digluconat 2% and lidocaine HCL 2% to dentine microhardness at two-thirds of the of root canal dentine cervical segment. Thirty extracted mandibular first premolars were used in this study. The crowns of the teeth were removed and the canals were prepared by using a crown-down technique. Each root was further transversely on cervical two-thirds a thickness of 4 mm and they were mounted on acrylic resin. The specimens were divided into six groups, according to the type of mixed material how long the contact. In group IA and IB, pasta of Ca(OH)₂ was saline applied for 7 days and 14 days. In groups IIA and IIB, pasta of Ca(OH)₂ + 2% chlorhexidine digluconate applied for 7 days and 14 days. Groups IIIA and IIIB, pasta of Ca(OH)₂ lidocaine HCL 2% was applied for 7 days and 14 days. During the treatment period, the speciments were kept in a 37 ° C incubator. Vickers Indenter Microhardness Tester was used to measure the micro hardness of root canal dentine after direct contact with Ca(OH)₂ paste. Data were analysed using the 2 way Anova continued with LSD test The results showed that there were significant effects of calcium hydroxide as an intracanal medicament the vehicles of saline, chlorhexidine digluconat 2% and lidocaine HCL 2% to dentine microhardness at two-thirds of the root canal dentine cervical segment.
