PERSEPSI PELAKU WISATA DESA TAMBAK REJO, TERHADAP KELESTARIAN CAGAR ALAM PULAU SEMPU KABUPATEN MALANG-JAWA TIMUR

Pulau Sempu merupakan kawasan cagar alam yang berada di Kabupaten Malang, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Cagar Alam Pulau Sempu telah banyak mengalami kerusakan dengan adanya kegiatan yang tidak berorientasi pada konservasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi pelaku wisata Desa Tambak Rejo terhadap kelestarian Cagar Alam Pulau Sempu, Kabupaten Malang-Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Tambak Rejo. Data persepsi pelaku wisata diambil dengan cara melakukan wawancara dan observasi lapangan. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian adalah pelaku wisata mengetahui Pulau Sempu sebagai kawasan cagar alam, namun belum mengetahui atribut-atribut cagar alam seperti fungsi, manfaat, kegiatan yang dilarang, lembaga yang mengelola. Pelaku wisata ingin menjaga kelestarian sumberdaya alam Pulau Sempu agar Pulau Sempu dapat terus dikunjungi oleh pengunjung.

Sempu Island is nature reserve which is located in Malang Regency, East Java Province. Sempu Island Nature Reserve has been heavily damaged because of non-conservation oriented activities. The objective of this research is to understand perception of Tambak Rejo Village tourism actors to the preservation of Sempu Island Nature Reserve, Malang Regency – East Java. This research was conducted in Tambak Rejo Village. Qualitative method is used for this research. Actors Perception was collected through interview and field observation. Descriptive analysis is used to analyze the data that obtained. The result of this research shows that the tourism actors know that Sempu Island area is a nature reserve but do not know about the nature reserve attributes such as the function, benefit, prohibited activities, and the agency that manage the Sempu Island. The tourism actor want to preserve the Sempu Island Natural Resouces so it can be continue to be visited by the tourist.
