Kinerja dan kualitas daging entog (Cairina moschata) dengan penambahan DL-Metionin sebagai faktor koreksi dalam ransum berbasis aking sebagai pengganti jagung

2001 | Tesis | S2 PeternakanPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kineja dan kualitas daging entog (Cairina moschata) yang diben pakan aking sebagai pengganti jagung. Materi yang digunhan sebanyak 54 ekor entog jantan umur empat minggu yang diberi perlakuan enam macam ransum yaitu Rl(50 % jagung + 0 % aking + 0 % DL-metionin), R2 (40 % jagung + 10 % aking + 0,Ol % DL-metionin), R3 (30 % jagung + 20 % aking + 0,02 % DL-metionin), R4 (20 % jagung + 30 % aking + 0,03 % DL-metionin), Rs (10 % jagung + 40 % aking + 0,04 % DL-metionin) dan & (0 % jagung + 50 % aking + 0,OS % DL-metionin) setiap perlakuan diulangi 3 kali dan setiap ulangan menggunakan 3 ekor entog. Penelitian dilaksmakan selarna delapan minggu di kandang Unggas Fakultas Peternakan Unsoed Purwokerto. Variabel yang diamati adalah kinerja entog (pertamkhan bobot badan, konsumsi pakan, konversi pakan), persentase karkas dan persentase lemak abdomen, kualitas daging (daya ikat air dan keempukan daging), dan komposisi kimia daging (persentase iemak dan kolesterol daghg). Data dianalisis dengan analisis variansi menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Pola Searak Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa penggantian jagung dengan akrng dan penambahan DL-metionin sebagai faktor koreksi dalam ransum tidak berpengaruh terhadap kineja dan kuaIitas fisik daging entog. Disimpulkan bahwa penggantian jagung dengan uking sampai dengan level 50 % dengan penambahan DL-metionin 0,OS % dapat digunakan dalam ransum entog
Ths experiment was conducted to study the performance and meat quality of Muscovy duck fed with aking as corn substitute with additional DL-metionin as corection factor. Fifty four male Muscovy ducks age four weeks old were used. They were given six treatment rations that were R1 (50 % corn + 0 % aking + 0 % DL-metionin), R2 (40 % corn + 10 % aking + 0.01 % DL-metionin), R3 (30 % corn + 20 % uking + 0.02 % DL-metionin), & (20 % corn + 30 % aking + 0.03 % DLmetionin), Rs (10 % corn + 40 % aking + 0.04 % DL-metionin), & (0 % corn + 50 % aking + 0.05 % DL-metionin), with three replications of three ducks each. The experiment was conducted for eight weeks, located at Experiment Farm Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. The variables observed in this experiment were Muscovy duck performance (body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion), carcass percentage, abdominal fat percentage, meat quality (water-holding capacity and tenderness), meat chemical composition (meat fat percentage and meat cholesterol). The data collected were analyzed using Completely Randomized Design by variance analyses. The results indicated that substituting of corn by uking and addition of DL-metionin as corection factor in ration did not affected significantly different on performance and meat quality. It was concluded that substituting corn with uking up to $0 % and addition DL-metionin 0.05 % was the best for Muscovy duck ration.
