KONSENTRASI GEOGRAFIS INDUSTRI MIKRO DAN KECIL DI PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT PADA TAHUN 2005 DAN 2011

Penelitian ini berusaha untuk menganalisis lokasi konsentrasi Industri Mikro dan Kecil (IMK), sektor industri unggulan serta faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya konsentrasi industri di Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Data yang digunakan adalah data Survei Usaha Terintegrasi Tahun 2005 (SUSI2005) dan data Survei Industri Mikro dan Kecil tahun 2011 (VIMK11) dari Badan Pusat Statistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda analisis Matrik Kepadatan Industri dan SIG untuk mengidentifikasi lokasi konsentrasi industri, SLQ-DLQ dan SSLQ-DSLQ untuk mengatahui sektor industri unggulan, serta Analisis Diskriminan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya konsentrasi industri. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi lokasi industri mikro dan kecil utama di Provinsi Sumatera Barat berada di Kabupaten Agam, Tanah Datar, Sawahlunto dan Padang Pariaman. Sektor industri unggulan utama adalah Industri Makanan dan Minuman (KBLI 15), Industri Tekstil (KBLI 17) dan Industri Pakaian Jadi (KBLI 18). Penggunaan tenaga kerja keluarga, keanggotaan dalam koperasi, produktifitas, upah serta populasi merupakan faktor-faktor yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya konsentrasi industri di Provinsi Sumatera Barat.

This research attempts to analyze the concentration locations of Small and Micro Industry (SMI), the leading industry, and the factors causing industrial concentration in West Sumatra Province. The data used in this research are the 2005 Integrated Business Survey (SUSI2005) and Small and Micro Industries Survey (VIMK11) in 2011 from BPS-Statistics Indonesia. The research applied the Industrial Density Matrix analysis method and GIS to identify the locations of industrial concentration, the SLQ-DLQ and SSLQ-DSLQ to identify the leading sectors, and Discriminant Analysis to identify factors causing such an industrial concentration. The results of this research show that the locations of the main Small and Micro Industries in West Sumatra province are located in the Regencies of Agam, Tanah Datar, Padang Pariaman, and Sawahlunto City. The main industries are Food and Beverages (KBLI 15), Textile (KBLI 17) and Garment (KBLI 18). The contributing factors to the concentrated industries in West Sumatra province are the employment of family-workforce, involvement in cooperatives membership, productivity, wages and population.
