OPINI PUBLIK TENTANG “TOMOHON FLOWER FESTIVAL” DI KOTA TOMOHON

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui opini panitia, petani bunga, dan masyarakat terhadap Tomohon Flower Festival dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik survei. Pengambilan sampel lokasi dan lembaga terkait dilakukan secara purposive, sedangkan pengambilan sampel publik dilakukan dengan acak sederhana. Sampel publik terdiri dari 30 orang panitia, 30 orang petani, dan 30 anggota masyarakat penonton. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah uji proporsi dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa panitia yang memiliki opini positif sebesar 83,3% dengan kekuatan opini sebesar 71,4%, petani yang memiliki opini positif sebesar 83,3% dengan kekuatan opini petani sebesar 48,51%, dan masyarakat yang memiliki opini positif sebesar 76,7% dengan kekuatan opini masyarakat sebesar 50,83%. Umur dan pendidikan berpengaruh positif terhadap opini panitia dan petani, sedangkan pendapatan berpengaruh negatif terhadap opini masyarakat. Pengalaman dan minat tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap opini publik.

The research was aimed to understand the opinion of committees, farmers, and community toward Tomohon Flower Festival and the influencing factors on public opinions. This research used descriptive method and survey technique. Sampling of locations and institutions were conducted purposively, while sampling of public was conducted by simple random sampling method. Respondents consisted of thirty committees, thirty farmers, and thirty peoples. Analytical method of this research used proportion of test and multiple linear regression tests. This research showed that the committees have positive opinion at 83,3 percent, with the strength of opinion at 71,4 percent, farmers have positive opinion at 83,3 percent, with the strength of opinion at 48,51 percent and communities have positive opinion at 83,3 percent, with the strength of opinion at 50,83 percent. Age and level of education have positive impacts toward the opinion of committees and farmers, while income has negative impact on communities opinion. Experience and interest have no significant impact toward public opinion.
