Internet adalah ruang raksasa bagi informasi dan pengetahuan di dunia. Hal ini mendorong keinginan pengguna jasa internet untuk dapat melakukan koneksi internet dimana saja dan kapan saja. Keinginan ini tercapai dengan adanya teknologi hotspot serta layanan nirkabel. Media akses hotspot banyak memberikan kemudahan kepada user karena tingkat fleksibilitasnya yang tinggi. User bisa berpindah-pindah lokasi akses selama masih berada di dalam coverage area layanan suatu hotspot. Dengan demikian banyak fasilitas hotspot/internet wireless yang disediakan diberbagai tempat, salah satu nya di sebuah café. Layanan hotspot di café disediakan secara gratis dan bebas digunakan oleh publik karena hanya dengan memasukkan username dan password yang telah disediakan. Dibalik kemudahan yang disediakan oleh layanan hotspot terdapat resiko di dalamnya. Selain setting alat yang digunakan untuk menyediakan layanan hotspot itu sendiri tapi dari segi keamanan data user juga. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, penulis membuat hotspot café menggunakan WRT160NL , firmware openwrt dan modem ZTE AC2726. Pembuatan perangkat lunak ini menggunakan perpaduan chillispot, freeradius dan MySQL. Chillispot sebagai authentifikasi, freeradius untuk accounting, phpmyprepait sebagai billing HotSpot dan MySQL untuk databasenya. Diharapkan dengan adanya penerapan system management ini berguna untuk pengaksesan data menjadi lebih mudah dan aman serta setting dari sisi penyedia lebih mudah.

This desire is achieved with the technology hotspot and wireless service. Media access many hotspots provide convenience to the user due to its high flexibility level. Users can move the location of access for still being in the coverage area of a hotspot services. With so many hotspots / wireless internet is available in many places, one of them in a café. Hotspot services are provided for free at the café and freely used by the public as just by entering the username and password that have been provided. Behind the convenience provided by the hotspot service there is a risk in it. In addition to setting the tool used to provide hotspot service itself but in terms of user data security as well. Based on this background, the authors make a café hotspot using WRT160NL, openwrt firmware and modem ZTE AC2726. Making this software uses a combination Chillispot, FreeRADIUS and MySQL. Chillispot as authentication, freeradius for accounting, billing phpmyprepait as HotSpot and MySQL for the database. Expected with the implementation of this management system is useful for data access becomes easier and safer as well as the setting of the provider easier.
