PENGEMBANGAN APLIKASI MONITORING PERFORMA SERVER MENGGUNAKAN SIMPLE NETWORK MANAGEMENT PROTOCOL

Monitoring terhadap performa server merupakan hal yang penting dalam menjaga stabilitas server. Monitoring merupakan tugas seorang administrator dan dalam hal monitoring server tentunya seorang administrator tidak bekerja 24 jam di depan komputer sehingga perlu adanya sebuah layanan aplikasi monitoring server yang dapat memonitor server secara real time dan dapat diakses di mana saja. Aplikasi web application Sistem Monitoring yang menggunakan Simple Network Management Protocol merupakan solusi yang tepat untuk membantu administrator dalam menyimpan, dan mengolah hasil proses monitoring server secara real time. Pada penelitian ini permasalahan tersebut diangkat untuk membuat web application server monitoring secara real time menggunakan Simple Network Management Protocol. Aplikasi ini dapat memonitor server dengan sistem operasi Linux yang dapat menampilkan grafik hasil monitor secara real time pada browser. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, aplikasi dapat menyediakan sebuah layanan untuk memonitor server yang dapat menampilkan grafik kondisi server dan grafik proses yang berjalan pada server secara real time, selain itu aplikasi ini juga dapat menambahkan, menghapus, dan merubah konfigurasi kunci otentikasi pada server yang ingin dimonitor.

Server performance monitoring is the most important thing in keeping the stability of server’s. In terms of monitoring server, it is the main task of the administrator to make sure that the server is running well. However, it’s impossible for them to stay for 24 hours/7 days in front of the computer. Thus, we propose a solution by developing a monitoring system’s web application based on Simple Network Management Protocol which can help administrator in case saving and processing the outcome of monitoring process in a real time. In this research, the problem addressed to build a monitoring server’s web application in a real time using Simple Network Management Protocol. This application can monitor the server which use Linux as their operating system, who can show the outcome of monitoring process in the form of graphic in a real time on the browser. Based on the testing result, this application can serve a service to monitor a server which can show graphic of server condition and server process, beside that this application also can add, remove and edit the authentication key configuration of that server.
