PENGARUH PERCEIVED DISSIMILARITY TERHADAP INTRAGROUP CONFLICT DENGAN VARIABEL OPENNESS TO DISSIMILARITY SEBAGAI VARIABEL PEMODERASI

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi hubungan antara perceived dissimilarity (perceived visible, value, dan informational dissimilarity) terhadap munculnya intragroup conflict (relationship dan task conflict) dengan perceived openness to dissimilarity sebagai variabel pemoderasi. Dalam penelitian ini, sampel diambil dari para mahasiswa yang pernah mengikuti simulasi bisnis virtual international, VIBu. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah nonprobability sampling, khususnya convinience sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode survei. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, ketiga jenis perceived dissimilarity memiliki hubungan positif dengan relationship dan task conflict. Hipotesis kelima yang meneliti tentang pengaruh perceived openness to dissimilarity terhadap hubungan positif antara perceived dissimilarity dengan intragroup conflict tidak terbukti. This research was aimed to investigate the relation between perceived dissimilarity (consists of perceived visible, value, and informational dissimilarity) and intragroup conflict (consists of relationship and task conflict) with perceived openness to dissimilarity as a moderating variable. This research involved respondents who had participated in VIBu (Virtual teams in International Business), an international business simulation. It used nonprobability sampling (convinience sampling) as the sampling method. This research was conducted using survey method and the data analysis was done by using multiple regression. The results showed that those three kinds of perceived dissimilarity positively related to relationship and task conflict. Furthermore, the fifth hyphoteses was examining about four moderating effects of perceived openness to dissimilarity with the relationship between perceived dissimilarity and intragroup conflict. Those hyphoteses was not significantly supported. High perceived openness to disimilarity has not been shown to weaken the positive relationship between perceived dissimilarity and intragroup conflict.
