SISTEM PENGAWASAN OPERASI BOILER MELALUI DCS DI PT INDORAMA SYNTHETICS TBK POLYESTER DIVISION

Boiler merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam sistem pembangkit listrik tenaga uap. Boiler mengkonversi energi kimia bahan bakar menjadi energi kalor. Salah satu gambaran yang dapat menunjukkan prestasi kerja boiler adalah efisiensi. British Standard 845 merupakan salah satu standar perhitungan efisiensi boiler. British Standard 845 terdiri dari dua metoda, yaitu metoda direct dan indirect. Metoda direct lebih mengacu pada kuantitas uap yang diproduksi, Metoda indirect mengacu pada rugi-rugi panas dalam boiler. DCS berperan sebagai tempat pengawasan dan pengontrolan langsung ke Lapangan. Perhitungan efisiensi boiler di CPP Daya Listrik dilakukan dengan metoda direct dan indirect. Efisiensi boiler dengan metoda direct adalah 91,75%, sedangkan efisiensi metoda indirect adalah 86,22% dengan rugi-rugi panas sebesar 13,78%. Seluruh hasil kompilasi menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi indirect lebih kecil daripada efisiensi direct. Apabila dibandingkan dengan efisiensi boiler standar (87-90%), maka boiler di PT. INDORAMA SYNTHETICS Tbk Daya Listrik masih dalam keadaan baik.

Boiler was one of the important component of electrical steam power plant. Boiler converse chemical energy into heat. One of the pictures to show the works of Boiler that was eficient. British Standard 845 was one of the standart of the boiler’s eficient. British Standard 845 contains of two method, that is direct and indirect method. Direct method was more to the quality of the steam producted, while indirect methood was more to the heat lose of the boiler. DCS acts as a monitoring and control directly to the Field. The count of boiler eficient in CPP Voltage Current done by the work of direct and indirect method of Boiler. The eficient of boiler using the direct method are up to 91,75%, while the eficient of Indirect method only goes to 86,22% with the lose of heat up to 13,78%. All of the complication shown that Indirect’s eficiency was less than the direct’s eficientcy. So compared to the standart of boiler eficiency (87-90%),then boiler at PT. INDORAMA SYNTHETICS Tbk Voltage Current still in the good shape.
