ANALISIS KESEPADANAN LEKSIKAL KATA SIFAT DALAM PENERJEMAHAN KOMIK WHY? UJU \"WHY? THE UNIVERSE ALAM SEMESTA\"

Penelitian ini membahas tentang faktor-faktor apa saja yang dapat menentukan ekivalensi leksikal pada penerjemahan kata sifat dalam komik “Why? 우주”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesepadanan dalam komik tersebut. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan teori kesepadanan leksikal Catford dan teori makna kontekstual Pateda. Dengan teori-teori tersebut, dapat dianalisa faktor-faktor apa saja yang menentukan ekivalensi leksikal pada kata sifat dalam penerjemahan komik “Why? 우주”. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap. Tahap pertama yaitu pemilihan data, kemudian penganalisisan data dan yang terakhir adalah tahap penyajian data. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah 17 kata sifat yang dianalisis ditemukan beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi ekivalensi leksikal dalam teks yaitu (1) koteks, (2) konteks orangan, (3) konteks situasi,(4) konteks tempat, (5) konteks formal/tidaknya pembicaraan, (6) konteks suasana hati pembicara/pendengar, (7) konteks waktu, (8) konteks tujuan, (9) konteks objek, dan (10) konteks kebahasaan. Benang merah dari penelitian ini ialah ditemukannya lebih dari 1 faktor yang mempengaruhi kesepadanan kata sifat dalam komik terjemahan Why? Uju “Why? The Universe Alam Semesta”. Selain itu, dalam suatu penerjemahan sangat dipengaruhi oleh koteks dan konteks, baik secara tersurat maupun tersirat. Namun demikian, dibandingkan dengan koteks, maka suatu konteks berperan lebih besar dalam penerjemahan suatu teks. Dari benang merah ini terbukti, bahwa pemahaman tentang koteks dan konteks sangat diperlukan dalam proses penyepadanan penerjemahan.

This study discusses about the factors that can determine the lexical equivalence of adjective in comic translation Why? Uju “Why? The Universe Alam Semesta”. The objectives of this study are to analyze factors that affect equivalence in this comic . Analysis was performed using lexical equivalence theory by Catford and contextual meaning theory by Pateda. With these theories, the factors can be analyzed to determine lexical equivalence in comic translation Why? Uju “Why? The Universe Alam Semesta”. This study was conducted by several step. First step is data selection. The second step was data analysis method, by identifying and classifying data. Last step was the presentation of all results The conclusion of this study : there are 17 words that were analyzed was found several factors that affect lexical equivalents in the text. They are : (1) cotext, (2) personal context, (3) situational context, (4) aim context, (5) formal or non-formal context, (6) feeling context, (7) time context, (8) place context, (9) object context, and (10) language context. The conclusion of the analyze is there are more than 1 factor that influence the equivalence procces in the Why? Uju “Why? The Universe Alam Semesta” comic. Translation need co-text and context factor and context factor influence the translation moch more rather than cotext factor. In equivalence process, there are explicit and implicit factors that influence the selection process of words.
