Prasasti Tionghoa Jawa di Keraton Yogyakarta merupakan simbol keharmonisan masyarakat Tionghoa dan pihak Keraton Yogyakarta. Prasasti Tionghoa Jawa diserahkan di tahun 1952 bertepatan dengan 12 tahun bertahtanya Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX. Prasasti tersebut merupakan wujud ucapan terima kasih masyarakat Tionghoa Yogyakarta kepada Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX selaku pemimpin tertinggi kota Yogyakarta karena telah memberikan rasa aman dan perlindungan terhadap rakyat Tionghoa selama ratusan tahun. Bukti ucapan terimakasih masyarakat Tionghoa dapat dilihat dari isi prasasti. Isi prasasti tersebut terdapat dalam dua bahasa yaitu bahasa Jawa dan bahasa Mandarin. Sejarah penyerahan prasasti tersebut juga cukup panjang karena dibutuhkan waktu 12 tahun untuk menyerahkan prasasti tersebut kepada Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX. Prasasti Tionghoa Jawa ini menjadi bukti akan kehidupan masyarakat Tionghoa di Yogyakarta yang hidup sejahtera tanpa penindasan dan tekanan.

The Chinese Javanese Inscription in Yogyakarta Palace is the symbol of harmony between Chinese community and the royal family of Yogyakarta. The Chinese Javanese Inscription itself was given in 1952 coincided with the 12 years reign of Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX. It is as a token of Chinese community‟s gratitude to Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX as the leader of Yogyakarta because he had made the Chinese community felt secured and protected for thousand years. The proof of their gratitude can be seen from the contents of the inscription. The contents of the inscription are in two languages, Javanese and Mandarin. The process of giving the inscription was quite long because it needed 12 years to give the inscription to Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX. This Chinese Javanese inscription becomes the proof of the Chinese community‟s life that is apart from any oppression that may burden them to have the prosperous and safe life in Jogjakarta.
