KAJIAN LABORATORIUM PEMANFAATAN CRUMB RUBBER SEBAGAI BAHAN TAMBAH ASPAL TERHADAP STABILITAS DAN DURABILITAS PADA CAMPURAN AC-WC

Volume lalu lintas setiap tahun meningkat dan kendaraan berat bertambah banyak untuk mengangkut manusia dan barang membutuhkan perkerasan jalan dengan stabilitas tinggi. Peningkatan jumlah kendaraan, curah hujan yang tinggi, ancaman banjir membutuhkan durabilitas yang tinggi. Di sisi lain, pemerintah memiliki keterbatasan dana untuk membangun dan memelihara perkerasan jalan. Tujuan penelitian ini diantaranya: (1) mengetahui perbandingan stabilitas pada campuran AC-WC penambahan crumb rubber dengan campuran AC-WC konvensional, (2) mengetahui perbandingan durabilitas campuran AC-WC penambahan crumb rubber dengan campuran AC-WC konvensional, (3) mengetahui Indeks Durabilitas berdasarkan Uji Marshall dan ITS Penelitian dilakukan dengan menambahkan crumb rubber ke dalam aspal cair di dalam oven. Variasi crumb rubber yang digunakan 1% dan 2%. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode Marshall dan ITS. Hasil yang diperoleh dibandingkan dengan pengujian campuran AC-WC aspal murni. Setelah didapat KAO, dilakukan pengujian pengaruh air terhadap durabilitas dan stabilitas dengan perendaman 0, 2, 4, 7 hari. Nilai stabilitas dan IKS variasi CR 0% berturut-turut 1954,41 kg(100%), 1829,86 kg(93,63%), 1617,49 kg(82,76%), 1614,95 kg(82,63%). Nilai stabilitas dan IKS variasi CR 1% berturut-turut 1909,06 kg(100%), 1861,17 kg(97,49%), 1859,22 kg(97,39%), 1854,65 kg(97,15%). Nilai stabilitas dan IKS variasi CR 2% berturut-turut 1951,18 kg(100%), 1687,91 kg(86,51%), 1605,92 kg(82,30%), 1537,22 kg(78,78%). Nilai ITS dan TSR variasi CR 0% berturut-turut 962,71 kPa(100%), 922,91 kPa(95,87%), 897,30 kPa(93,21%), 746,14 kPa(77,50%). Nilai ITS dan TSR variasi CR 1% berturut-turut 985,39 kPa(100%), 843,12 kPa(85,56%), 707,98 kPa(71,85%), 670,39kPa (68,03%). Nilai ITS dan TSR variasi CR 2% berturut-turut 1037,01 kPa(100%), 91,27 kPa(95,59%), 709,19 kPa(68,39%), 695,75 kPa(67,09%). Nilai Indeks Durabilitas dari pengujian Marshall variasi CR 0%, 1%, 2% berurut-turut 11,699%, 3,222%, 14,721% dan dari uji ITS berturut-turut 8,428%, 21,030%, 19,602%.

Volume of traffic and heavy vehicle increases every year to transport people and goods requires pavement with high stability. An increasing number of vehicles, heavy rainfall, flooding threats require high durability. On the other hand, the government has limited funds to build and maintain the pavement. The purpose of this study are: (1) investigate comparative durability AC-WC with addition crumb rubber with AC-WC conventional, (2) investigate comparative stability AC-WC with addition crumb rubber with AC-WC conventional, (3) investigate Durability Index based from Marshall test and ITS test. The study was conducted by adding crumb rubber into the liquid asphalt in the oven. Variation of crumb rubber used was 1% and 2%. Tests conducted by the Marshall and ITS method looked for Durability Index. The results obtained were compared with a test mixture of pure asphalt AC-WC. Having obtained the optimum bitumen content, testing the effect on the stability and durability of the soaking water 0, 2, 4, 7 days. Values of stability and RMS for variation CR 0% are 1954,41 kg(100%), 1829,86 kg(93,63%), 1617,49 kg(82,76%), 1614,95 kg(82,63%) respectively. Values of stability and RMS for variation CR 1% are 1909,06 kg(100%), 1861,17 kg(97,49%), 1859,22 kg(97,39%), 1854,65 kg(97,15%) respectively. Values of stability and RMS for variation CR 2% are 1951,18 kg(100%), 1687,91 kg(86,51%), 1605,92 kg(82,30%), 1537,22 kg(78,78%). Values of tensile strength and TSR for variation CR 0% are 962,71 kPa(100%), 922,91 kPa(95,87%), 897,30 kPa(93,21%), 746,14 kPa(77,50%) respectively. Values of tensile strength and TSR for variation CR 1% are 985,39 kPa(100%), 843,12 kPa(85,56%), 707,98 kPa(71,85%), 670,39kPa (68,03%) respectively. Values of tensile strength and TSR for variation CR 2% are 1037,01 kPa(100%), 91,27 kPa(95,59%), 709,19 kPa(68,39%), 695,75 kPa(67,09%) respectively. Values of Durability Index from Marshall Test variation CR 0%, 1%, 2% are 11,699%, 3,222%, 14,721% respectively and from ITS test are 8,428%, 21,030%, 19,602% respectively.
