Untuk memenuhi tantangan kompetisi di pasar internasional, perusahaan Indonesia yang termasuk PT. Astra Nippon Gasket Indonesia mengambil perhatian pada mutu produk dan efisiensi produksi. Perkembangan industri di Indonesia saat ini menuntut perusahaan untuk dapat bersaing dengan perusahaan yang sama, sehingga untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk dan jumlah produk akan selalu diperhatikan. Dalam proses produksi di parts making tidak selamanya berjalan dengan lancar, berbagai masalah dapat ditemukan dijalur tersebut, sehingga permasalahan tersebut dapat mengganggu efesiensi dan efektifitas proses produksi. Permasalahan yang terjadi di parts making dapat diketahui dengan cara melihat data laporan produksi harian atau yang sering disebut laporan kerja harian. Dari data terdapat downtime yang tinggi pada proses penyetingan memerlukan banyak waktu non produksi yang diakibatkan saat pemanggilan yang harus berjalan bolak balik untuk memanggil leader ataupun dandori. Untuk mengurangi waktu non produksi yang diakibatkan pemanggilan leader ataupun dandori maka di buatlah sebuah alat pemanggil yang berupa lampu andon sebagai solusi dalam pemanggilan leader ataupun dandori untuk memudahkan operator. Hasil dari evaluasi ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya lampu andon dapat meningkatkan produktifitas produk, sehingga dapat menghemat biaya sampai Rp.26.520.000 per bulan. Selain itu, dapat menghemat tenaga operator untuk memanggil leader ataupun dandori. Hasilnya operator akan menjadi lebih focus dalam mengoperasikan mesin sehingga mutu dari produk tetap terjaga.

Industry development in Indonesia today demanded the company to be able to compete with the same company, so as to improve the quality of the product and the amount of product will always be considered. In the production process in the making of parts is not always run smoothly, many problems can be found in the path, so that these problems can interfere with the efficiency and effectiveness of the production process. Issues raised in the making of parts can be determined by looking at the data daily production reports or it called the Daily Labor Report. From the data there is a high downtime on the process of setting requires a lot of time due to non-production while calling that have to walk back and forth to call the leader or dandori. To reduce production downtime caused by calling dandori leader and then make an instrument in the form of caller andon lights as a solution or dandori leader in calling for operator ease. The result of this evaluation indicate that the andon lamp products can increase productivity, lowering costs up to Rp. 26.52 million per month. Also, it can save energy operator to call the leader or dandori. The result will be focusing operator to operate the machine so that the quality of the product is maintained
