PERANCANGAN ROLLER IMPACT PADA SISTEM KONVEYOR MESIN HOPPER DI PT. PUTERA TAMBANG INDONESIA

Saat proses penghancuran batubara (pada mesin crusher) dan proses pengapalan atau pengisian batu bara pada kapal tongkang (pada mesin hopper) menggunakan sistem conveyor. Pada conveyor terdapat belt dan roller penahan (roller impact) yang ada di bagian bawah belt. Roller penahan berfungsi untuk meminimalisir benturan yang diterima oleh belt yang diakibatkan jatuhnya batubara pada mesin crusher dan hopper. Improvement ini dirancang dengan memperhitungkan kekuatan poros dan bearing (bantalan) serta menambahkan lapisan karet pada roller sehingga benturan roller dan belt akibat jatuhnya batu bara dapat diminimalisir. Dengan dipasangnya roller impact pada sistem konveyor diharapkan pada saat proses pengapalan dan proses penghancuran batubara konveyor tidak mengalami masalah dikarenakan sabuk belt konveyor mengalami kerusakan. Diharapkan juga roller impact dapat meminimalisirkan kerusakan yang terjadi pada sabuk belt sehingga umur pemakaiannya menjadi lama dan biaya perawatannya menjadi tidak terlalu mahal.
