Mahasiswa Berprestasi adalah mahasiswa yang berhasil mencapai prestasi tinggi, baik kurikuler, kokurikuler, maupun ekstrakurikuler. Saat ini pencatatan dan perhitungan nilai mahasiswa berprestasi di Universitas Gadjah Mada masih menggunakan sistem manual. Untuk input data mahasiswa dan data prestasi mahasiswa masih menggunakan formulir, kemudian formulir yang telah diproses akan disimpan dalam lemari atau gudang sehingga memungkinkan terjadinya kehilangan atau kerusakan data. Sedangkan untuk perhitungan nilai prestasi mahasiswa sudah menggunakan komputer yaitu dengan Microsoft Excel. Berdasarkan keadaan di atas, maka dibangunlah sebuah Sistem Informasi Pencatatan dan Perhitungan Nilai Mahasiswa Berprestasi Universitas Gadjah Mada. Sistem informasi ini dibangun menggunakan framework codeigneiter, basis data MySQL, dan framework jQuery. Sistem Informasi Pencatatan dan Perhitungan Nilai Mahasiswa Berprestasi Univeristas Gadjah Mada ini mampu mengolah data prestasi mahasiswa dan melakukan perhitungan nilai prestasi setiap mahasiswa. Sistem ini juga menghasilkan laporan berupa biodata mahasiswa berprestasi dan prestasi yang diperoleh setiap mahasiswa

Excellence students are the students getting success in curricular, co-curicular and extra curricular activities. Present day, recording and calculation of score achieved by students are still using manual system. Processing of input data of students and their data achievement is still using the manual form. Later the proccesed forms are stored into cupboard or storehouse. This makes the files are into to be possible for either damaged or lost. In the other hand, for the calculation of students scores has been conducted using Microsoft excel. Regarding to above circumstance, an Information Sytem has been invented to record and to calculate the students scores automatically. This information system has been built by using codeigniter framework, database of MySQL and jQuery framework. Information system of recording dan calculation of score for excellence students in Gadjah Mada University is able to process the achievement data of students and able to calculate the score of student achievement. This information system is also able to create the report of personal data of students and the achievement gained by the students.
