Latar belakang : Sarana dan prasarana yang baik dan benar akan menunjang tercapainya kualitas mutu pelayanan terhadap pasien di Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Polda DIY. Maka untuk mendukung tercapainya pelayanan kesehatan yang efektif dan efisien diperlukan desain ulang tata letak sarana prasarana di ruang peyimpanan dan rak peyimpanan yang mendukung perekam medis dalam memberikan pelayanan terhadap pasien. Selain untuk mencapai pelayanan yang efektif dan efisien desain ruangan dan rak peyimpanan itu sendiri. juga berguna bagi kenyamanan petugas rekam medis dalam melakukan pekerjaan, sehingga akan berdampak pada kualitas pemberian pelayanan kesehatan yang ditujukan untuk pasien. Tujuan : merancang ulang tata letak ruang peyimpanan berdasarkan pada perhitungan kebutuhan rak rekam medis. Tema : perancangan ulang tata letak ruang penyimpanan berdasarkan pada perhitungan kebutuhan rak rekam medis. Obyek perancangan : Pada perancangan yang menjadi obyek yaitu rak penyimpanan, berkas rekam medis dan ruang rekam medis di Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Polda DIY. Hasil : Berdasarkan dari perhitungan rak penyimpanan berkas rekam medis untuk jangka waktu 5 tahun mendatang diperlukan 4 rak kayu dengan satu muka yang didesain oleh perancang. Rak yang didesian oleh perancang terbuat dari kayu, tidak menggunakan peyekat antar sub rak namun terdapat peyangga yang ukurannya tidak sampai muka depan, sehingga dapat fleksibel jika akan dilakukan penambahan berkas rekam medis. Dengan spesifikasi tinggi 210 cm, panjang 240 cm, lebar 40 cm, tinggi per shaft 35 cm, terdiri dari 6 shaft kebawah dan 4 shaft kesamping. Rancangan ulang tata letak ruang penyimpanan berkas rekam medis yang ergonomi berdasarkan perhitungan kebutuhan rak untuk lima tahun mendatang adalah menempatkan keempat rancangan rak alternatif pertama disisi tembok. Disediakan ruang kosong ditengah untuk ruang gerak petugas pada saat pencarian berkas. Penutupan jendela akan diatasi dengan penambahan lampu untuk pencahayaan dan membuat ventilasi di samping jendela yang ditutup untuk sirkulasi udaranya . Sedangkan untuk rancangan rak yang kedua, rak akan diletakkan ditengah ruang kosong yang tersedia. Kerena jendela tidak dapat dibuka, maka perancang juga akan memberikan ventilasi untuk ruang masuk udara dibagian samping jendela. Penambahan lampu masih akan dilakukan tetapi tidak banyak. Karena cahaya alami akan diperoleh dari jendela.
