PERKEMBANGAN KARAKTER DARI KARAKTER UTAMA DALAM NOVEL V FOR VENDETTA KARYA ALAN MOORE

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengaruh karakter V terhadap perkembangan karakter Evey dalam novel V for Vendetta karya Alan Moore. Pertama-tama penulis meneliti kepribadian dari masing-masing karakter utama. Penelitian mengenai tokoh-tokoh utama ini meliputi kepribadian, latar belakang dan motif dari tindakan masing-masing tokoh utama tersebut. Dalam melakukan penelitian ini penulis menggunakan pendekatan psikologi. Pendekatan psikologi ini digunakan untuk mengetahui kepribadian dari masing-masing karakter dari novel. Lebih lanjut, pendekatan ini juga mengungkap pengaruh satu sama lain dari masing masing karakter utama. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa karakter V telah sepenuhnya menciptakan Evey yang baru. V telah mengubah Evey dari seorang gadis yang lugu menjadi seorang pemimpin pergerakan. Perkembangan karakter Evey sepenuhnya dipengaruhi oleh V, dan itu dapat terlihat dengan jelas melalui perjalanan hidup mereka dan dari alur cerita.

This study focuses on the influence of the character V towards Evey’s character development in the novel V for Vendetta. Firstly the writer investigates the main characters. The study towards the main character including their personality, background and the motive of their choice of actions. In this study, the writer uses the psychological approach. This theory utilizes to reveal the personality of the main character of the novel. Furthermore the theory also reveals the influence of each main character towards each other. The result of this study indicated that the character V has fully created Evey. He transformed her from just an innocent young girl to a rebbelious leader. Evey’s character development is fully influenced by V, and it could be seen through their life events and from the plot of their story.
