TRANSFORMASI NOVEL MODERATO CANTABILE KARYA MARGUERITE DURAS KE DALAM FILM KARYA SUTRADARA PETER BROOK (ANALISIS EKRANISASI)

Novel merupakan salah satu karya sastra yang digunakan sebagai sumber untuk menciptakan karya baru. Hal ini disebut dengan transformasi. Dalam skripsi ini, digunakan objek material novel Moderato Cantabile dan film hasil adaptasinya. Transformasi dari bentuk novel menjadi sebuah film dapat lebih spesifik dikatakan ekranisasi. Menurut teori, ekranisasi merupakan pelayar-putihan. Perbedaan media ini menimbulkan adanya perubahan. Perubahan-perubahan tersebut terlihat dalam film adaptasi Moderato Cantabile karya sutradara Peter Brook. Perubahan itu berupa pengurangan serta penambahan. Oleh karena itu, digunakan teori ekranisasi dan semiotika untuk melihat perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi dan tanda-tanda yang digunakan dalam film adaptasi tersebut.

The novel is one of the works that are used as a source to create new work. It is called the transformation. This thesis uses the novel Moderato Cantabile and the film adaptation from that novel as the material objects. The transformation from a novel into a film is generally called ecranisation. According to the theory, ecranisation is the process of making into a white screen. That difference media between the novel and the film, raises a change. The changes are able to be seen in a film adaptation of Moderato Cantabile, directed by Peter Brook. The changes are about the reduction and the addition. Therefore, the aim of using the ecranisation from Bluestone and semiotic theory of Pierce in this research is to see the changes that occur and the signs used in the film adaptation.
