PENGARUH KEBERADAAN INDUSTRI KERAJINAN PERAK TERHADAP PENYERAPAN TENAGA KERJA DAN PENDAPATAN PEKERJA DI KECAMATAN KOTAGEDE YOGYAKARTA

Kecamatan Kotagede merupakan salah satu wilayah di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta yang dikenal sebagai sentra kerajinan perak. Telah terjadi banyak permasalahan bagi industri kecil kerajinan perak, terutama pasca bencana gempa bumi tahun 2006, belum lagi penerapan pajak yang tinggi terhadap bahan baku perak dan harga yang tidak stabil karena dikuasainya saluran pemasaran oleh pedagang besar. Keberadaan industri perak di Kecamatan Kotagede yang masih bertahan dan sudah sekian lama ini, tentu berpengaruh terhadap tingkat penyerapaan tenaga kerja dan pendapatan pekerjanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) kondisi tenaga kerja dan pendapatan industri kerajinan perak yang ada di Kecamatan Kotagede; 2) pengaruh kondisi industri kerajinan perak yang dilihat dari tingkat pendapatan industri terhadap tingkat penyerapan tenaga kerja; 3) hubungan antara pendapatan industri kerajinan perak dengan pendapatan pekerja. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptifanalitis dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif, serta menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik tabel frekuensi, teknik analisis statistik korelasi regresi linear sederhana dan teknik analisis statistik korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa industri kerajinan perak di Kecamatan Kotagede pada tahun 2009, 2010 dan 2011 memiliki kondisi yang tidak stabil, namun industri yang besar lebih stabil daripada industri kecil. Berdasarkan hasil korelasi regresi, terdapat pengaruh yang sangat signifikan antara pendapatan industri kerajinan perak terhadap tingkat penyerapan tenaga kerja, yaitu nilainya sebesar 94,7% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Namun terdapat hubungan negatif antara tingkat pendapatan industri kerajinan perak dengan pendapatan pekerja, yang artinya tidak ada korelasi signifikan antara kedua variabel tersebut.

Kotagede Subdistrict is one of the areas in Yogyakarta which is known as the silver craft centers. There have been many problems for small industrial silver, especially after the earthquake in 2006. Besides the application of the high taxes on raw materials and the price of silver is not stable due to the mastered marketing channel by the wholesaler. The presence of silver industry in Kotagede that still survive and has long been present, would affect the level of employment absorption and the workers income. This study aims to know: 1) the employment and income condition of the silver industry that exists in Kotagede; 2) the influence of the condition of the silver industry seen from the level of industry revenue to the level of employment; 3) The relationship between the income of the silver industry and the labor income. This study is descriptive-analytical qualitative and quantitative approach, and uses primary and secondary data. The method of data analysis is the statistical analysis of frequency tables, statistical analysis techniques simple regression correlation and correlation statistical analysis techniques. The results show that the silver industry in the District Kotagede in 2009, 2010 and 2011 had an unstable condition, but the big industries are more stable than the small one. Based on the correlation of regression, there is a very significant influence among the silver industry revenues to the level of employment, which shall be equal to 94.7% and the rest is influenced by other factors. But there is a negative relationship between the level of income of the silver industry and the labor income, which means that there is no significant correlation between the two variables.
