EVALUASI TRAINING MID LEVEL MANAGEMENT IMUNISASI DI KOTA BANDA ACEH

2013 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu Kesehatan MasyarakatLatar Belakang: Training merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keahlian dan perubahan sikap melalui proses pembelajaran yang bertujuan membuat kinerja yang lebih efektif dalam suatu aktivitas waktu tertentu. Setelah bencana tsunami pada Desember 2004 di Provinsi Aceh, pada tahun 2007–2009 Kementrian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia bekerjasama dengan UNICEF/PATH melakukan training mid level management imunisasi dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja tenaga kesehatan yang bertugas sebagai manajer imunisasi di tingkat provinsi, kabupaten/kota dan puskesmas di Provinsi Aceh. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengevaluasi training mid level management imunisasi di Kota Banda Aceh. Metode Penelitian: Deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Unit analisis penelitian adalah manajer imunisasi tingkat Dinas Kesehatan Kota Banda Aceh, dan manajer imunisasi tingkat puskesmas yang telah ditraining. Cara pengumpulan data dengan brainstroming, wawancara mendalam, focus group discussion, laporan dan dokumen, serta pengamatan langsung. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah training manager imunisasi dan variabel terikat hasil cakupan imunisasi, perubahan sikap, dan pengetahuan. Hasil Penelitian: Manajer imunisasi mempunyai pengetahuan yang baik tentang manajemen dan sifat vaksin, logistik vaksin, tempat dan waktu pemberian vaksin. Kasus penyakit yang dapat dicegah dengan imunisasi mengalami penurunan dan hasil cakupan imunisasi rutin mengalami peningkatan setelah training mid level management. Kesimpulan: Peserta training mempunyai reaksi yang positif terhadap training, peningkatan hasil cakupan imunisasi, peningkatan pengetahuan dan terjadi perubahan perilaku setelah training mid level management.
Background: Training is an effort to develop knowledge and skills, and to change attitudes through learning experiences to achieve effective perfomance in an activity or range of activities. After tsunami disaster on December, 26th 2004 attacked Aceh Province, in 2007-2009, the Ministry of Health collaborated with UNICEF/PATH conducting mid level management training on immunization in Aceh Province with the main objective to improve performance of health workers who served as manager of immunization at the provincial level, district/city and clinic. Study Objectives: To evaluate mid level management training on immunization in city of Banda Aceh. Research Methods: Descriptive qualitative and quantitative case study design. The unit of analysis is the managers of the immunization in District Health Office in Banda Aceh, and those of the immunization in health centre who have been trained. The methods of data collection are brainstorming, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, reports and documents, and assesment. The independent variable in this study is the training manager and the dependent variable is the results coverage of immunization, behaviour change and knowledge. Result of Study: Immunization managers have a good knowledge of management and type of the vaccine, vaccine logistics, place and schedule of vaccinations. The number of cases of diseases preventable by immunization decreased and results coverage of routine immunization increased after mid level management training. Conclusion: Trainees have a positive reaction to training, immunization coverage and knowledge have increased and behavioral change occured.
