IDENTIFIKASI PERMASALAHAN UTAMA SISTEM MANAJEMEN PEMELIHARAAN DAN USULAN PERBAIKAN DI PT. KALTIM METHANOL INDUSTRI

Departemen pemeliharaan merupakan tulang punggung kelancaran produksi di PT KMI sehingga perlu menerapkan best maintenance practice pada sistem manajemen pemeliharaan agar peralatan dapat tetap berfungsi sesuai dengan design dan kapasitasnya. Sebagai konsekuensi, sistem manajemen pemeliharaan yang sudah ada perlu dievaluasi sehingga kekurangan- kekurangannya dapat diidentifikasi dan disempurnakan. Dalam penelitan ini, sistem manajemen pemeliharaan disurvey berdasarkan 16 kriteria quesioner dari Wireman (2004) kepada karyawan pemeliharaan yang dipilih . Hasil survey ini dibandingkan dengan hasil survey yang sudah dilakukan oleh Wireman (2004) terhadap 100 perusahaan industri yang ada di USA. Dari hasil survey, terdapat sebanyak 6 kriteria dengan nilai melampaui hasil survey yang dilakukan oleh Wireman (2004) sedangkan sebanyak 10 kriteria dengan nilai kurang dari nilai Wireman (2004). Dengan mengacu piramida manajemen pemeliharaan dan matrik hubungan leveling sistem manajemen pemeliharaan dan deviasi nilai survey yang merupakan modifikasi dari matrik risk assessment, dapat ditentukan 2 permasalahan paling penting yang perlu segera diperbaiki yaitu: training dan inventory.

Maintenance Departement is one of the most important departemen in PT KMI to support methanol production in the plant. In order to support production, maintenance need to apply best maintenance practices to the existing maintenance management system so that the equipments are able to perform accordance with theirs functions and capacities. Consequently, the existing system should be evaluated so the weakness of the system can be identified and improved. In this study, maintenance management system was surveyed based on sixteen surveyed criterions questioneries of Wireman (2004) to the selected employees from maintenance departement. The results of the survey are compared to the surveyed results that have been carried out by Wireman (2004) to 100 industrial companies in the USA. From surveyed outcomes, there are 6 criterions results are exceeding the result of Wireman survey and there are 10 criterions are less than the result of Wireman survey. From the analysis of 10 criterions, there are 2 most important problems should be improved; training and inventory problems that are need to be improved.
