HUBUNGAN FAKTOR INTERNAL DAN POLA KONSUMSI FAST FOOD DENGAN STATUS GIZI MAHASISWA DI UNIVERSITAS GADJAH MADA YOGYAKARTA

UGM sebagai salah satu perguruan tinggi terbesar yang mempunyai 18 fakultas dengan jumlah mahasiswa S1 tahun 2009-2010 sebanyak 29.288. Jumlah mahasiswa yang banyak akan menimbulkan permasalahan kesehatan. Salah satu permasalahan kesehatan timbul disebabkan oleh cenderung mengkonsumsi fast food. Bisnis fast food menduduki peringkat pertama, pada tahun 2005-2010 pertumbuhannya mencapai 24.96% dibanding bisnis yang lainnya. Tujuan Penelitian : Untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor internal dan pola konsumsi pemilihan fast food dengan status gizi mahasiswa di Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. Metode Penelitian : Jenis penelitian observasional, studi cross sectional, pendekatan kuantitatif yang didukung data kualitatif. Populasi penelitian seluruh mahasiswa S1 UGM prodi kesehatan dan non kesehatan. Sampel ditentukan secara random dari 8 prodi, jumlah sampel 304. Data faktor internal menggunakan kuesioner, data pola konsumsi dengan FFQ dan dilakukan pengukuran antropometri : berat badan, tinggi badan serta lingkar pinggang. Data diolah menggunakan analisis univariabel, bivariabel (uji chi square) dan multivariabel (regresi logistik). Hasil Penelitian : Hasil analisis chi square tidak terdapat hubungan antara motivasi, persepsi dan sikap dengan pola konsumsi fast food, namun ada hubungan antara gaya hidup dengan pola konsumsi. Adanya hubungan antara pola konsumsi fast food dengan status gizi. Hasil analisis regresi logistik diperoleh tidak ada hubungan antara motivasi, persepsi dan sikap dengan pola konsumsi fast food, namun ada hubungan bermakna antara gaya hidup dengan pola konsumsi fast food. Adanya hubungan antara pola konsumsi fast food dan jenis kelamin dengan status gizi dan faktor dominan yang paling berpengaruh. Kesimpulan : Tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara motivasi, persepsi dan sikap dengan pola konsumsi fast food kecuali pada gaya hidup. Ada hubungan yang bermakna antara pola konsumsi fast food dengan status gizi.
Background : Yogyakarta is known as a student city and culinary tourism city. Gadjah Mada University is one of the biggest universities with18 faculties and as many as 29.288 undergraduate students in 2009-2010. Large number of students will bring impact to poor health problems. One of the problems is consumption of fast food. The business of fast food stays in the first rank. In 2005-2010 its growth reached 24.96%. Method Objective: The study aimed to identify association between internal factors and fast food consumption pattern and nutrition status of students of Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. : The study was observational with cross sectional study and qualittative as well as quantitative approaches. Population of the study consisted of all undergraduate students from both health and non health study program. Samples were taken randomly from 8 study program, consisting of 304 students. Data of internal factors were obtained from questionnaire and consumption pattern from food frequency questionnaire. Data of anthropometric assessment included weight, height and waist circumference. Data were processed using univariabel, bivariabel (chi square test) and multivariabel (logistic regression). Results : The result of chi square test there was no association between motivation, perception and attitude and fast food consumption pattern.There was association between lifestyle and food consumption, between fast food consumption pattern and nutrition status. The result of logistic regression analysis showed there was no association between motivation, perception and attitude and fast food consuption pattern, but there was significant association between lifestyle and fast food consuption pattern. There was association between fast food consumption pattern and sex with nutrition status and dominan factor association. Conclusion : There was no significant correlation between motivation, perception and attitude with fast food consumption pattern, except in lifestyle. There was significant correlation between fast food consumption pattern with nutritional status.
