ANALISIS KUALITAS TUTOR DAN PERBEDAAN LATAR BELAKANGNYA DI FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH SURAKARTA

Latar Belakang : Kualitas pembelajaran siswa pada program PBL sangat dipengaruhi oleh tutorial. Keberhasilan tutorial sangat bergantung pada tutor yang melakukan perannya secara efektif. Untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran tersebut perlu dilakukan evaluasi kualitas tutor sebagai dasar perbaikan. Penelitian mengenai tutor dan tutorial di perguruan tinggi masih terbatas. Masih banyak diperlukan penelitian mengenai hubungan karakteristika tutor terhadap proses tutorial. Sampai saat ini belum banyak penelitian yang mengaitkan kualitas tutor dan latar belakangnya. Tujuan: Penelitian ini akan menganalisis karakteristika latar belakang tutor dengan kualitas tutor; menganalisis pengaruh latar belakang tutor meliputi gender, status kepegawaian, tingkat pendidikan, lulusan tutor, masa kerja, dan usia terhadap kualitas tutor. Metode: Subjek penelitian ini adalah semua tutor dan mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS). Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Teknik analisis data dengan deskriptif analitik, pendekatan kuantitatif, cross sectional yang terdiri dari analisis statistik deskriptif, statistik komparatif uji t-test dan uji regresi liner ganda. Hasil penelitian: Secara umum kualitas tutor di Fakultas Kedokteran UMS relatif tinggi dengan nilai mean : 43.48 (63%). Terdapat perbedaan kualitas tutor antara berbagai latar belakang terutama antara pendidikan S1 dan S2 yang menunjukkan nilai bermakna (p = 0.002). Kualitas tutor pendidikan S1 lebih tinggi dibandingkan S2 pada pembelajaran kontekstual, sementara latar belakang yang lain tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang bermakna. Kualitas tutor dipengaruhi oleh variabel latar belakang tutor dengan nilai F = 1.329 dan R = 0.589. Kesimpulan: Kualitas tutor di Fakultas Kedokteran UMS relatif tinggi. Secara umum terdapat perbedaan kualitas tutor berdasarkan latar belakangnya walaupun tidak bermakna. Kualitas tutor dipengaruhi latar belakangnya.

Background: The quality of student learning in PBL program is strongly influenced by the tutorial. The success depends on the tutor tutorial that does this role effectively. To enhance the learning process is necessary to evaluate the quality of tutors as a basis for improvement. Research on tutors and tutorial college is still limited. There is still much needed research on the relationship karakteristika tutor for the tutorial. Until now there has been much research linking the quality of tutors and background. Objective: This study analyzes the background karakteristika tutor with quality tutors; analyze the influence of tutor background includes gender, employment status, education level, graduate tutor, tenure, and age on the quality of the tutors. Methods: The subjects were all tutors and students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS). This study used primary and secondary data. Descriptive data analysis techniques with analytical, quantitative approach, consisting of a cross sectional descriptive statistical analysis, comparative statistical t-test and multiple linear regression. Results: In general the quality of the tutors in the Faculty of Medicine UMS is relatively high with a mean value: 43.48 (63%). There is a difference in quality between the various backgrounds tutor especially between S1 and S2 showed significant values (p = 0.002). Quality education tutor S1 is higher than S2, while the other background showed no significant difference. The quality is influenced by the tutor tutor background variables with the value of F = 1329 and R = 0589. Conclusion: Quality UMS tutor in the School of Medicine is relatively high. Generally, there are differences in the quality of tutors based on their background, although not significantly. Quality tutor influenced background.
