Penelitian peran teknologi komputer dalam proses kreatif musik Tya Subiakto, di Jakarta merupakan penelitian mengungkap interaksi Tya Subiakto sebagai user dan peran komputer dalam proses kreatif membuat karya musik. Penelusuran dalam penelitian ini juga memaparkan perkembangan teknologi komputer, komputer sebagai alat musik, hingga interaksi sosok Tya Subiakto sebagai subjek dalam proses kreatif musik. Tya Subiakto adalah seorang musisi muda yang memiliki pengalaman musikal yang tidak diragukan di lingkungan komunitas musik Indonesia. Pengolahan karya musik melalui media teknologi komputer sudah banyak ditunjukkan secara umum baik media radio hingga media televisi. Teknologi komputer memberikan kontribusi perubahan dalam perkembangan seni musik, khususnya proses penciptaan musik. Kemampuan komputer saat ini memiliki teknologi kecerdasan buatan yang tidak hanya difungsikan dalam tugas perkantoran yang jauh dari dunia seni, tetapi teknologi komputer dapat difungsikan sebagai alat musik dan media ekspresi seni. Teknologi MIDI dan perekaman audio digital merupakan sebuah teknologi komputer yang digunakan oleh musisi dalam proses kreatif musik. Banyak para seniman musik menggunakan teknologi komputer baik, dari proses untuk mencipta musik hingga aktivitas pertunjukan musik. Tingkat akivitas musisi menggunakan teknologi komputer semakin meningkat dalam dunia musik, maka muncul sebuah istilah Computer Music. Perkembangan teknologi komputer mempengaruhi berbagai macam tujuan seni pertunjukan. Seperti Tya Subiakto, bahwa teknologi komputer memberikan peran penting dalam mencipta karya musik. Program komputer untuk musik (music software) dapat membantu menyelesaikan kesulitan-kesulitan mengolah bunyi yang tidak dapat dilakukan secara manual. Salah satu tujuan mendasar dari penelitian ini adalah menelusuri peran teknologi komputer dalam proses kreatif musik seorang musisi Tya Subiakto.

The research on the role of computer technology in the creative process of music Tya Subiakto in Jakarta is conducted as a case study in using computer technology for a creative process of creation in musical composition. The research’s objective as an exposure to computer technology developments are ranging from the technological knowledges to computer machine as a musical instrument, and particularly focused on the individual interaction with Tya Subiakto, considered as a central figure in the creative process of music making by using computer technology. Tya Subiakto is a female composer with high fame, where her musical works that were composed by using the sophisticated computer technology have been widely used in Indonesian films, and broadcasted through the national radio and television media. The computer technology is believed to have contributed an incredible change in the development of musical art, particularly in its process of creation. The latest computer technology may have contained an artificial intelligence ability that may be functioned for human welfare, and for the art world as well by designing them as musical instrument digital interface. Technology MIDI and digital audio recording is a computer technology that is used by musicians in the creative process of music. Many contemporary composers are now using computer technology in quest for new colors in musical works and activities. Recently, the number of such composers have increased that they could have established a new musical world with their own particular musical terminologies. Indeed the computer music has consequently made a major contribution in expanding the diversity of world music repertories Nonetheless, the development of computer technology has affected a wide range of performing arts by its destination. As for Tya Subiakto herself, the computer technology has given a basic idea in the process of creating new music pieces. Computerized program for music may help resolve the difficulties in processing the new sound that cannot be executed manually. Therefore, one of the fundamental objectives of this research is to trace the important role of computer technology in the creative process of music making by composer Tya Subiakto.
