PENGARUH FORMULASI COMPLETE FEED TERHADAP KINERJA TERNAK DOMBA EKOR TIPIS

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa domba yang diberi complete feed kulit buah kakao terfermentasi. Domba Ekor Tipis umur 1 - 1,5 tahun sebanyak 15 ekor digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan pemberian pakan dan air minum secara ad libitum. Perlakuan yang dicobakan adalah ransum K yang merupakan pakan kontrol dari hijauan (sumber serat) + konsentrat, NF merupakan complete feed dari kulit buah kakao (sumber serat) + konsentrat tanpa fermentasi dan ransum F merupakan complete feed dari kulit buah kakao (sumber serat) + konsentrat yang melalui proses fermentasi (CFF) dengan perbandingan antara sumber serat dan konsentrat adalah 40% : 60%. Variabel yang diamati adalah kualitas nutrisi complete feed, konsumsi pakan, kecernaan nutrien, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi pakan, feed cost per gain dan income over feed cost (IOFC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa formulasi complete feed berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap konsumsi nutrien dan kecernaan nutrien, sedangkan pertambahan bobot badan harian, konversi pakan dan feed cost per gain (FC/G) meskipun tidak berbeda nyata, ransum complete feed F menunjukan nilai yang lebih tinggi. Konsumsi dan kecernaan nutrien ransum F berbeda nyata terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan nutrien ransum NF dan K. Rata-rata konsumsi nutrien ransum F adalah BK ; 87,72±15,70 g/kg BB 0,75 , BO ; 78,21 ±13,61 g/kg BB 0,75 , PK ; 10,12±1,81g/kg BB 0,75 , SK ; 12,21±2,19 g/kg BB 0,75 , LK ; 1,77±0,32 g/kg BB 0,75 , dan konsusmi TDN ; 59,51±10,65 b g/kg BB 0,75 . Rata-rata kecernaan nutrien F adalah BK ; 70,94%, BO ; 66,33% dan PK ; 67,77%. Pertambahan bobot badan yang dihasilkan pada complete feed fermentasi (F) sebesar 128,67 g/ekor/hari dengan konversi pakan 6,27 dan FC/G sebesar Rp.11.036. Pada perhitungan IOFC meski menunjukkan nilai yang hampir sama, ransum CF fermentasi memiliki kecenderungan memperoleh keuntungan yang lebih tinggi sebesar Rp.139.203/bln dibandingkan ransum kontrol dan non fermentasi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ransum complete feed dapat meningkatkan konsumsi dan kecernaan nutrien tetapi belum mampu meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan harian dan nilai konversi pakan. Pemanfaatan CF fermentasi (F) menggunakan biofit®, efektif untuk digunakan dalam ransum penggemukan ternak domba dengan nilai IOFC yang lebih tinggi.

The objectives of the study was to determine sheep performance fed with fermented cacao pod husk complete feed. Fifteen Thin Tailed sheep aged at 1 to 1.5 years were used in this study with 3 feed treatments and water were offered ad libitum. The first treatment (K) was a control, sheep fed with forages (fiber source) + concentrate, NF was given a complete feed of cocoa pod husk (fiber source) + concentrate without fermentation and F was given complete feed of cocoa pod husk (fiber source) + fermented concentrate with ratio of fiber sources and the concentrate was 40%: 60%. Data consisted of nutrient complete feed quality, nutrient intakes, nutrient digestibility, average daily gain, feed conversion, feed cost per gain and income over feed cost (IOFC). The results showed that feed treatments have significant effects on nutrient intakes and digestibility (P<0.05), while average daily gain, feed conversion, and feed cost per gain though did not significantly affected by feed treatments, F results value wich higher. Nutrients’ intakes and digestibility of NF was significantly higher than K however, there was no significant differences between NF and K . Dry matter intake of sheep given F treatment was 87.72 g/kg BW 0.75 , organic matters intake was 78.21 g/kg BW 0.75 , crude protein was 10.12 g/kg BW 0.75 , crude fiber 12.21 g/kg BW 0.75 , crude fat 1.77 g/kg BW 0.75 , and total digestible nutrients was 59.52 g/kg BW 0.75 . Dry matter digestibility of sheep given F treatment was 70,94%, organic matters digestibility 66,33% and crude protein was 67,77%. Average daily gain produced by complete feed fermented was 0.88 g/kg BW 0.75 or 128.67 g/day while feed conversion was 6.27 and FC/G was Rp.11.036. The calculation of IOFC showed the same value, although there was a tendency that complete feed fermented had highest profits, it was Rp.139.203 compared to K and NF. It can be concluded that complete feed increased nutrient intakes and digestibility, however average daily gain and feed conversion were similar. The use of cocoa pod husk based feed which fermented by biofit®, could be an effective ways to fatten sheep with the highest value of IOFC.
