Tingkat Kesehatan Bank Setelah Dilakukan Merger Studi Kasus pada PD BPR BKK Bojang Kabupaten Kendal

This research aimed to analyze the impact of merger on the Bank's health rate which consists of Capital Ratio, Productive Earning assets Quality Ratio, Liquidity Ratio, and Profitability Ratio in compliance with Bank Indonesia's regulation on Bank's health soundness. This research compares the calculation of Bank's health before and after the merger, as well as the ratio standard of bank's health soundness according to Bank Indonesia's regulation and other managerial factors which influence the result of the bank's health soundness calculation. In addition, this research also discusses the Community Credit Banks (Bank Perkreditan Rakyat) which have limited operations but still contribute to the economic developments. The data used in this research is the consolidated financial statements of the banks which were used in the merger proposal to Bank of Indonesia during the September 2006 period, the banks’ publication reports after merger during the period of December 2007, 2008, 2009, ratio standard of bank’s health soundness based on the Bank of Indonesia’s regulations, and other information from the banks’ managements. The method used in this research is the calculation system for BPR health soundness calculation based on Bank of Indonesia Director’s decree No. 30/12/KEP/Dir dated 30 April 1997. The health soundness calculation system based on the regulation consists of comparing the components in the bank’s financial reports and assigning weight based on the influence on the bank’s health soundness according to the factors determined in the research. Based on the calculation, the health soundness of a bank is shown based on the regulatory criteria or Bank of Indonesia.
