PENGARUH JUMLAH GIGI YANG DI FISSURE SEALING SEMEN IONOMER KACA FUJI VII TERHADAP KADAR FLUOR DAN PERTUMBUHAN Streptococcus alpha DALAM PLAK BERDASARKAN WAKTU

Fissure sealing merupakan salah satu cara yang dapat mencegah karies pada pit dan fissure. Bahan fissure sealant semen ionomer kaca (SIK) Fuji VII mampu melepaskan fluor ke saliva dan sekitar lingkungan mulut diantaranya ke plak. Bakteri yang selalu ada pada awal pembentukan plak adalah Streptococcus alpha. Pelepasan fluor SIK Fuji VII dipengaruhi oleh berat semen dan lama pemakaian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah gigi yang di fissure sealing SIK Fuji VII terhadap kadar fluor dan pertumbuhan Streptococcus alpha dalam plak berdasarkan waktu. Subyek terdiri dari 37 siswa SD Gayamsari 02 dan SD Sambiroto 02 Semarang yang berumur 6-9 tahun. Sejumlah 19 anak di fissure sealing gigi molar pertama permanen 2 gigi dan 18 anak di fissure sealing molar pertama permanen 4 gigi. Diukur kadar fluor plak dengan metode spektrofotometri dan pertumbuhan Streptococcus alpha dengan waktu pengamatan hari sebelum perlakuan, ke-1, ke14, ke-30 dan ke-45. Dilakukan uji Repeated anova dua jalur untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah gigi yang di fissure sealing SIK Fuji VII terhadap kadar fluor dan pertumbuhan Streptococcus alpha dalam plak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kadar fluor hari ke-1 pada kedua kelompok. Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna kadar fluor plak antara kelompok 2 dan 4 gigi berdasarkan waktu (p = 0,004). Pertumbuhan Streptococcus alpha mengalami penurunan pada hari ke-1 dan meningkat pada hari ke-14. Pertumbuhan Streptococcus alpha antara kelompok 2 dan 4 gigi menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna berdasarkan waktu (p=0,034). Kesimpulan penelitian adalah semakin banyak jumlah gigi yang di fissure sealing SIK Fuji VII semakin tinggi kadar fluor plak berdasarkan waktu. Semakin banyak jumlah gigi yang di fissure sealing SIK Fuji VII semakin rendah pertumbuhan Streptococcus alpha berdasarkan waktu. Peningkatan kadar fluor plak diikuti penurunan pertumbuhan Streptococcus alpha berdasarkan waktu.

Fissure sealing is one way to prevent caries in pit and fissure. Material glass ionomer cement (GIC) Fuji VII was able to release fluoride into the saliva and the oral environment around them to the plaque. Streptococcus alpha was bacterial plaque there at the beginning of the formation of plaque. Fluoride release of Glass Ionomer Cement Fuji VII is affected by the weight of the cement and duration of use. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the quantity of teeth on fissure sealing GIC Fuji VII of the fluoride concentration and the growth of Streptococcus alpha based on time. The subjects consisted of 37 students Elementary school Gayamsari 02 and Elementary school Sambiroto 02 Semarang 6-9 years old. Nineteen of subject was fissure sealing on permanent first molar 2 teeth and 18 subject in the fissure sealing permanent first molar 4 teeth. Plaque fluoride concentration measured by the spectrophotometric method and the growth of Streptococcus alpha with observation time of the day before treatment, 1 st day, 14 th days, 30 th days and 45 th days. Two way Repeated ANOVA test performed to determine the effect of the the quantity of teeth on fissure sealing GIC Fuji VII to the concentration of fluoride and Streptococcus alpha in plaque growth. The results showed elevated concentration of fluoride on 1 st day in both groups. There are significant differences in plaque fluoride concentration between groups 2 and 4 teeth by the time (p = 0.004). Growth of Streptococcus alpha decreased on 1 st day and increased on 14 th days. Growth of Streptococcus alpha between groups 2 and 4 teeth showed there were significant differences based on time (p = 0.034). Conclusion of this study was that more the quantity of teeth on fissure sealing Fuji VII GIC higher plaque fluoride concentration by time. The more the quantity of teeth on fissure sealing GIC Fuji VII the lower growth of Streptococcus alpha based on time. Increase in plaque fluoride concentration decrease the growth of Streptococcus alpha followed by time.
