PENGARUH PERAWATAN ORTODONTIK TEKNIK STRAIGHT WIRE DENGAN BRAKET ROTH TERHADAP INKLINASI LABIOLINGUAL GIGI INSISIVUS SENTRAL

Braket Roth merupakan braket pada teknik straight wire yang populer di kalangan ortodontis dan telah banyak diaplikasikan pada semua ras manusia. Saat ini belum diketahui nilai sudut inklinasi labiolingual gigi insisivus sentral setelah perawatan dengan braket Roth. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh perawatan ortodontik teknik straight wire dengan braket Roth terhadap inklinasi labiolingual gigi insisivus sentral maksila terhadap Frankfurt Horizontal Plane (FHP) dan inklinasi labiolingual insisivus sentral mandibula terhadap bidang mandibula. Penelitian dilakukan pada sefalogram lateral sebelum dan sesudah perawatan terhadap 30 subjek dengan kriteria: umur ≥ 18 tahun, orang Indonesia dan dirawat ortodontik teknik straight wire dengan braket Roth. Pengaruh perawatan terhadap perubahan inklinasi labiolingual gigi insisivus sentral maksila terhadap FHP dan inklinasi labiolingual insisivus sentral mandibula terhadap bidang mandibula diukur pada sefalogram lateral sebelum dan sesudah perawatan dan analisis data dilakukan dengan McNemar Test. dengan Hasil dari penelitian adalah: 1) Perawatan ortodontik teknik straight wire braket Roth yang memiliki sudut torque +120 tidak mengubah sudut inklinasi labiolingual gigi insisivus sentral maksila terhadap FHP ke dalam rentang normal. 2) Perawatan ortodontik teknik straight wire dengan braket Roth yang memiliki sudut torque -10 tidak mengubah sudut inklinasi labiolingual gigi insisivus sentral mandibula terhadap bidang mandibula ke dalam rentang normal.

Roth bracket is a bracket on the straight wire technique that popular among orthodontist and has been widely applied to all the human race. Inclination of labiolingual central incisors after treatment with bracket Roth currently unkwon. aim of this study was to determine the effect of a straight wire orthodontic treatment with Roth bracket system on labiolingual inclination of maxillary central incisor to Frankfurt Horizontal Plane (FHP) and labiolingual inclination of mandibular central incisor to mandible plane. This study was conducted on the lateral cephalogram before and after treatment of 30 subjects with the following criteria: age ≥ 18 years old, Indonesian and treated orthodontic straight wire technique with Roth bracket system.The effect of the treatment to the changes of labiolingual inclination of maxillary central incisor to FHP and labiolingual inclination of mandibular central incisor to mandible plane those measured on the lateral cephalogram before and after treatment and analysis of data by using McNemar Test. The results of this study are: 1) Straight wire orthodontic treatment with Roth bracket system that has torque +120 does not change labiolingual inclination of maxillary central incisor to FHP into the normal range. 2) Straight wire orthodontic treatment with Roth bracket system that has torque -10 does not change labiolingual inclination of mandibular central incisor to mandible plane into the normal range.
