Menentukan lokasi KKN perlu dilakukan, mengingat KKN dapat berjalan dengan baik atau tidak salah satunya ditentukan oleh lokasi KKN. Sebuah wilayah dipilih sebagai lokasi KKN melalui proses panjang, melibatkan berbagai pihak, dan didasari oleh berbagai pertimbangan. Pertimbangan tersebut antara lain meliputi pertimbangan yang ditetapkan oleh gugus tugas (task force) KKN yang dibentuk Lembaga Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPM) sebagai pelaksana KKN, pengusung program sebagai perancang dan pelaksana KKN di suatu lokasi, dan Pemerintah Daerah sebagai pemangku wilayah. Perpaduan metode Entropy, Promethee, dan Borda memungkinkan digunakan untuk pendukung keputusan pemilihan lokasi KKN secara berkelompok. Mengingat orientasi yang berbeda-beda, antara pengambil keputusan (decision maker) yang satu dengan decision maker yang lain bisa berbeda pula dalam menentukan kriteria lokasi KKN. Metode Entropy dan Promethee digunakan untuk memilih alternatif lokasi KKN berdasarkan kriteria masing-masing decision maker. Metode borda merupakan salah satu yang dapat digunakan untuk mengakomodasi hasil para decision maker. Perhitungan pada borda menggunakan bobot pada setiap posisi rangking yang dihasilkan oleh masing-masing decision maker. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Group Decision Support System (GDSS) menggunakan metode Entropy, Promethee, dan Borda dapat mengakomodasi kriteria-kriteria sesuai kehendak pihak-pihak terlibat dalam pengambilan keputusan. Keluaran berupa hasil urutan/rangking alternatif lokasi KKN masingmasing decision maker dan berdasarkan hasil kelompok. Lokasi dengan nilai perhitungan Borda tertinggi berpotensi untuk dijadikan sebagai lokasi KKN berdasarkan kriteria bersama.

Area was chosen as the location of KKN through a long process,involving various stakeholders, and based on various considerations. Considerations include the following considerations established by the task force KKN formed by Community Services Institute Ahmad Dahlan University as the executor of KKN, bearers of the program as a designer and implementer KKN at a given location, and local government as a stakeholder areas. The combination of Entropy, Promethee, and Borda methods may be used to support selection KKN location decisions in groups. Given the different orientations, the decision maker is the one with the other decision maker can be different criteria in determining the location of KKN. Entropy and Promethee methods used to select the alternate location of KKN based on the criteria of each decision maker. Borda method is one that can be used to accommodate the results of the decision maker. Calculations Borda using weight to each rangking position generated by each decision maker. The results of this study is the Group Decision Support System (GDSS) by using the Entropy, Promethee, and Borda methods which can accommodate criteria desired by the parties involved in decision making. The output is ranking of alternative the locations of KKN of each decision maker and is based on the results of the group. Locations with the highest Borda calculation of the potential to serve as the location of KKN based on common criteria.
