PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA PELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA DENGAN METODE MAKE A MATCH DI SMP NEGERI 2 YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan metode make a match pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. Tujuan berikutnya ialah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan metode pembelajaran make a match pada pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian metode eksperimen semu. Penentuan subjek penelitian dengan purposive sampling yaitu dengan pertimbangan-pertimbangan tertentu. Kelas VIIC sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIA sebagai kelas kontrol. Data diperoleh melalui observasi proses pembelajaran, wawancara dengan guru Bahasa Indonesia, dokumentasi untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran, tes hasil belajar untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan setelah dilakukan treatment. Untuk memperoleh validasi instrumen melalui validasi isi dengan teknik moderator. Selanjutnya mengukur tingkat kesukaran soal dan menghitung daya beda butir soal. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mencari nilai rata-rata kelas lalu membandingkan nilai sebelum dan setelah dilakukan treatment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode make a match dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Belajar menyenangkan dan semua siswa terlibat aktif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan kenaikan hasil belajar kelas VIIC sebagai kelas eksperimen sebelum treatment nilai rata-rata kelas 76.5 naik menjadi 86.8 dengan rata-rata kenaikan 10.37, sedangkan kelas VIIA sebagai kelas kontrol dari 75.3 menjadi 75.6, dengan kenaikan 0.33. Selisih kenaikan nilai kelas eksperimen (86.8) dengan kelas kontrol (75.6) sebesar 11.2. Dengan demikian penerapan metode make a match dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar secara signifikan.

The aim of this research is twofold that is to increase students learning results on Bahasa Indonesia through Make a Match method at SMP Negeri 2 Yogyakarta and next is to know the enhancement of students learning results on Bahasa Indonesia by using Make a Match method. This experiment is an experimental method research that is a quasi experimental design, a kind of nonequivalent control group design. The choice of research subject with purposive sampling is based on certain consideration. Grade VIIC is an experimental group and grade VIIA is a control group. Data is gained through observing the learning process, interviewing teacher of Bahasa Indonesia, studying document to know the learning process, and giving pretest and posttest to get the variance of learning results before and after treatment. Content validity of Instrument is validated through moderator technique. Next, testing of the test results, measuring degree of the difficulties of items, and counting the differentiator of items. Data is analyzed by counting the average scores of the group and comparing the score before and after the treatment. The conclusion is that learning activities by using Make a Match Method is able to increase the students learning results. By means o f joyful learning, all students were actively involved in learning activities and it is able to increase the students learning results. The result of the research shows that the result of learning is increased. Grade VIIC, as experimental group, is increased to 86.8 from75.5, which the increase average is 10.7. While control group, grade VIIA, the increase is 75.6 from 75.3, the increase is 0.33. The difference in increase between experimental and control group is 11.2. This shows that the application of Make a Match method significantly increases the students learning results.
