Cuu Long Basin is the biggest basin in the shelf of Viet Nam which content oil and gas. Cuu Long Basin already gave big benefit for economics and energy industries of Viet Nam with high productivity due to many oilfields within it. Therefore, detail exploration is very important to develop the understanding reservoir quality to achieve better reserve estimation and production. Geostatistics, especially stochastic method is chosen as the powerful method to model reservoir and determine the relationship between each parameters in subsurface. In order to build reservoir modeling, the author uses Irap RMS software from Roxar Company. The data which are collected in this research include 14 wells and well picks (4 exploration, 8 production and 2 injection wells); 40 faults data; horizons data for top C30, top D and top zone 2; and boundary of study area. All data are converted from seismic to numerical data and be used to model reservoir. Two types of subsurface maps would be resulted for this research. Those maps are facies and petrophysics distribution. The facies maps consist of channel, clay plug and crevasses splay deposits distribution map; whereas the petrophysics maps consist of porosity, permeability and water saturation distribution map. Based on these maps, the 3D volumetric will be done to estimate the oil initial in place by using the STOIIP formula. More reliable and accurate calculation is resulted for reserve estimation in Noname oilfields.
