Dinamika Identitas dalam Ève de ses décombres karya Ananda Devi

Ève de ses décombres yang ditulis oleh Ananda Devi disusun dengan empat kisah hidup masing-masing tokoh. Ketika kisah hidup diceritakan, pada saat yang sama identitas dikonstruksi. Kisah hidup menunjukkan bagaimana mengkonseptualisasikan dan mendefinisikan diri sendiri melalui apa yang dikatakan, bagaimana mengatakannya dan pada siapa mengatakan hal tersebut. Identitas dipahami sebagai sebuah proses dengan fokus pada konstruksi yang dinamis, sehingga masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah dinamika dalam konstruksi identitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap dinamika dalam proses konstruksi identitas sebagaimana dikisahkan dalam self narration. Untuk dapat menjawab permasalahan yang dikemukakan akan digunakan metode analisis naratif. Dinamika dalam konstruksi identitas personal bersinggungan dengan pengalaman hidup, masalah eksistensial dan beragam dilema. Beragam bentuk dinamika merupakan tantangan terhadap kestabilan identitas. Sementara itu, rasa aman dan kelanjutan kisah hidup dibutuhkan untuk konstruksi identitas yang stabil, maka diperlukan respon untuk mengatasi dinamika tersebut. Respon ini berbeda antara satu orang dengan orang lainnya sehingga menunjukkan keunikan seseorang apabila dibandingkan dengan orang lain. Dinamika juga dapat muncul sebagai akibat dari benturan antara identitas personal dan sosial. Proses konstruksi terjebak dalam dinamika antara menyesuaikan diri dengan kelompok dan keinginan untuk mengikuti hasrat, harapan dan keinginan personal. Dilema dan keresahan akibat benturan identitas personal dan sosial juga harus direspon demi kontinuitas kisah hidup dan kestabilan identitas. Respon terhadap beragam dinamika dalam konstruksi identitas merupakan usaha untuk menjaga kontinuitas kisah hidup dan menunjukkan kontrol yang kuat terhadap konstruksi identitas.

Ève de ses décombres by Ananda Devi consists of four life stories, told by each character. As we tell a story, identity is constructed at the same time. Life stories show how we conceptualize and define ourselves through what is said, how to say it and to whom we say it. Identity is a process that emphasize on its dynamism, thus the problem of this research is the dynamic process of identity construction. The aim of the research is to unfold the dynamics process of identity construction that can be found in self narration and the respond towards every challenge. We will use narrative analysis as our methodological tools. The dynamic process of personal identity construction involves life experiences, existential problems and dilemmas. Various forms of dynamic process will challenge the firmness of identity. However, firm identity needs sense of security and continuity of self narration, so a respond is needed in order to overcome challenges. The respond varies from one people to another, depends on the situation surrounds them. The act of overcoming a challenge is meant to show the uniqueness of a person compared to another. Dynamic process is also to be found in intergroup interaction that produces a collision between personal and social identity. Identity is caught up in the dynamics process of adapting the self into group or go after personal desire, hopes and wishes. Dilemmas and anxiety triggered by such collision need a respond from individual, in order to preserve life stories continuity and stable sense of identity. Each respond is an attempt to preserve the continuity of life stories and show a strong control in relation to identity construction.
