PENGARUH JUMLAH GIGI YANG DI FISSURE SEALING SEMEN IONOMER KACA FUJI VII TERHADAP KADAR FLUOR, VOLUME, PH DAN KAPASITAS BUFER SALIVA BERDASARKAN WAKTU

Fissure sealing merupakan salah satu tindakan preventif karies pada anak. Semen Ionomer Kaca (SIK) Fuji VII mampu melepaskan fluor ke saliva. Pelepasan fluor SIK Fuji VII dipengaruhi oleh berat semen dan lama pemakaian. Berat semen menunjukkan jumlah gigi yang di fissure sealing. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah gigi yang di fissure sealing SIK Fuji VII terhadap kadar fluor, volume, pH dan kapasitas bufer saliva berdasarkan waktu. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen semu. Subyek adalah siswa SD Gayamsari 02 dan SD Sambiroto 02 Semarang yang berumur 6-9 tahun sebanyak 34 anak. Sejumlah 18 anak di fissure sealing 2 gigi dan 16 siswa 4 gigi. Diukur kadar fluor, volume, pH dan kapasitas bufer saliva dengan waktu pengamatan hari sebelum perlakuan, ke-1, ke-14, ke-30 dan ke-45. Pengukuran kadar fluor saliva dengan spektrofotometri dan pH dengan pHmeter. Dilakukan uji Repeated anova dua jalur untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah gigi yang di fissure sealing SIK Fuji VII terhadap kadar fluor, volume, pH dan kapasitas bufer saliva. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kadar fluor hari ke-1 pada kedua kelompok. Tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna kadar fluor saliva antara 2 dan 4 gigi berdasarkan waktu (p = 0,247). Volume saliva mengalami peningkatan pada hari ke-1. Volume saliva antara 2 dan 4 gigi menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna berdasarkan waktu (p=0,453). Peningkatan volume ternyata diikuti penurunan pH saliva. Derajat keasaman (pH) saliva antara 2 dan 4 gigi juga tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang bermakna berdasarkan waktu (p=0,906). Demikian juga kapasitas bufer saliva mengikuti pola perubahan pH saliva. Kapasitas bufer saliva antara 2 dan 4 gigi menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna (p=0,330). Kesimpulan penelitian adalah jumlah gigi yang di fissure sealing SIK Fuji VII tidak menyebabkan perbedaan kadar fluor, volume, pH dan kapasitas bufer saliva. Peningkatan kadar fluor diikuti peningkatan volume saliva tetapi pH dan kapasitas bufer saliva mengalami penurunan.

Fissure sealing is a preventation of caries in children. Glass ionomer cement (GIC) Fuji VII was able to release fluoride into saliva. Fluoride release of GIC Fuji VII is affected by the weight of the cement and duration of use. Weight of cement showed the quantity of teeth on fissure sealing. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the quantity of teeth on fissure sealing GIC Fuji VII of the fluoride concentration, volume, pH and buffer capacity of saliva based on time. This research was a quasi-experimental. The subjects were students from Elementary school Gayamsari 02 and Elementary school Sambiroto 02 Semarang aged 6-9 years as many as 34 children. First group was fissure sealing in two teeth on 18 children and second group 16 children in four teeth. Measured concentration of fluoride, volume, pH and buffer capacity of saliva by the time of observation days before treatment, 1 st , 14 th , 30 th and 45 th . Measurement of salivary fluoride concentration by spectrophotometry and pH with pHmeter. Two-way Repeated Anova test performed to determine the effect of the quantity of teeth on fissure sealing GIC Fuji VII of the fluoride concentration, volume, pH and buffer capacity of saliva. The results showed increased concentration of fluoride on 1 st day in both groups. There was no significant difference in salivary fluoride concentration between 2 and 4 teeth by the time (p = 0.247). Volume of saliva has increased on 1 st day. The volume of saliva between 2 and 4 teeth showed no significant differences based on time (p = 0.453). Increase in volume was followed by decrease in salivary pH. The degree of acidity (pH) between 2 and 4 salivary teeth also showed no significant difference by time (p = 0.906). Similarly, the buffer capacity of saliva following the pattern of pH changes in saliva. Salivary buffer capacity between 2 and 4 teeth showed no significant difference (p = 0.330). Conclusion of this study was the quantity of teeth on fissure sealing GIC Fuji VII had not lead to varying fluoride concentration, volume, pH and buffer capacity of saliva. Increased concentration of fluoride followed by an increase in the volume of saliva but saliva pH and buffer capacity has decreased.
