EVALUASI KEEFEKTIFAN SUPERVISI KLINIK DI RUMAH SAKIT PENDIDIKAN UTAMA DAN JEJARING FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS ISLAM SULTAN AGUNG SEMARANG

Latar belakang: Supervisi klinik merupakan salah satu faktor yang memegang peranan penting dalam proses pembelajaran di klinik karena dapat meningkatkan performance klinik mahasiswa. Kegiatan supervisi klinik sangat kompleks dan bervariasi dalam pelaksanaannya. FK UNISSULA menggunakan 15 RS Jejaring sebagai wahana pendidikan klinik. Sehingga untuk menjamin mutu pendidikan klinik perlu dilakukan evaluasi terhadap kualitas supervisi klinik. Tujuan: mengetahui keefektifan supervisi klinik di 12 RS serta hubungan keefektifan supervisi klinik dan pencapaian kompetensi klinik mahasiswa. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian sebanyak 181 mahasiswa kepaniteraan klinik angkatan 2003, 2004 dan 2005 FK UNISSULA yang menjalani rotasi klinik di bagian Bedah, Anak, Kebidanan dan Kandungan, Penyakit Dalam, Saraf, Kulit dan Kelamin, THT serta Jiwa dan tersebar di 12 RS. Subyek penelitian dikelompokan berdasarkan RS tempat menjalani rotasi. Skala yang digunakan adalah Clinical Teaching Effectiveness Intrument (CTEI) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Hasil pencapaian kompetensi klinik menggunakan data sekunder yaitu nilai akhir bagian. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif dan dianalisa menggunakan analisa deskriptif, Kruskal Wallis dan Spearman rho. Hasil: Nilai rata-rata keefektifan supervisi klinik di 12 RS secara keseluruhan dengan rentang skor 3,25 sampai 4,02. Hasil uji beda keefektifan supervisi klinik di 12 RS diperoleh nilai Chi-S=13,32 dan p=0,27. Uji korelasi Spearman rho antara keefektifan supervisi klinik dan pencapaian kompetensi klinik di bagian THT, kebidanan dan kandungan, Anak, Jiwa, Saraf, kulit dan kelamin, Penyakit Dalam, dan Bedah adalah r=0,687(p=0,010); r=0,192 (p=0,369); r=0,14 (p=0,59); r=0,131 (p=0,476); r=0,146 (p=0,54); r=-0,343 (p=0,109); r=-0,224 (p=0,27); r=-0,411 (p=0,037). Kesimpulan: Keefektifan supervisi klinik secara keseluruhan di 12 RS dinilai baik oleh mahasiswa dan tidak berbeda bermakna. Namun demikian, pelaksanaan supervisi klinik di tiap-tiap RS bervariasi. Beberapa aspek dari supervisi klinik perlu ditingkatkan sehingga dapat meningkatkan pencapaian kompetensi klinik mahasiswa

Background: Clinical supervision has a vital role in the learning process of undergraduate medical education because it may improve the student’s clinical performance of the students. Supervision is a complex activity and covers wide variety of applications. Medical faculty of Islamic Sultan Agung university has 15 affiliated hospital for its clinical education. To assure the quality of the clinical program, an evaluation on the quality of clinical supervision is required. Purpose: To assess the effectiveness of the clinical supervision among the 12 affiliated hospital and the correlation between the effectiveness clinical supervision and student’s clinical competencies of the undergraduate clinical education. Methods: 181 students of clinical internship of the year 2003, 2004 and 2005 of medical faculty of Islamic sultan Agung university having the clinical rotation at the stage of surgery , obs-gyn, pediatrics, internal medicine ,ENT, psychiatry across the affiliated hospital. The subject were divided into groups based on the hospital they were placed. Clinical Teaching Effectiveness Instrument (CTEI) adapted in bahasa Indonesia was used. The clinical competency was the secondary data, i.e. final grade of every stage. Kruskal Wallis and Spearman rho were applied for the data analysis. Results: Means of the effectiveness of clinical supervision for 12 affiliated hospitals range from 3.25 to 4.02. Kruskal Wallis test resulted in the value of Chi-S=13.32 and p=0.27. Spearman correlation test between the clinical supervision and student’s clinical competency of the ENT, obsgyn, pediatric, psychiatry, neurology, venerology, internal medicine, surgery were r=0.687 (p=0.010); r=0.192 (p=0.369); r=0.14 (p=0.59); r=0.131 (p=0476); r=0.146 (p=0.54); r=-0.343 (p=0.109); r=-0.224 (p=0.27); r=0.411 (p=0.037) respectively. Conclusion: The clinical supervision effectiveness for the 12 affiliated hospitals was good and there was no significant different. However the practice of clinical supervision varies among the hospitals. Some aspects of clinical supervision need to improve.
