HUBUNGAN ANTARA KECERDASAN EMOSI DAN EFIKASI DIRI DENGAN MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI SISWA PROGRAM RINTISAN SEKOLAH BERTARAF INTERNASIONAL (RSBI) SMA NEGERI 1 KOTA PROBOLINGGO

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dan efikasi diri dengan motivasi berprestai. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas XI jurusan IPA program RSBI SMAN 1 Kota Probolinggo. Keseluruhan subyek yang terlibat berjumlah 151 orang siswa dan siswi. Metode pengumpulan data yang dipakai adalah skala motivasi berprestasi, skala kecerdasan emosi, dan skala efikasi diri. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1). Terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosi dan efikasi diri dengan motivasi berprestasi, diperoleh nilai F = 35,295 dengan p = 0,000 (p < 0,01) dan R = 0,568, dengan sumbangan efektif 32,3 %; 2). Terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara variabel kecerdasan emosi dengan motivasi berprestasi, diperoleh nilai t = 4,991 dan p = 0,000 (p < 0,01), dengan sumbangan efektif 14,3%; 3). Terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara variabel efikasi diri dengan motivasi berprestasi, diperoleh nilai t = 7,841 dan p = 0,000 (p < 0,01), dengan sumbangan efektif 29,2%. Dengan demikian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima.

This research aims to find out the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy with the motivation of achievement. The subject of this research are students of class XI Science Majors High School 1 Probolinggo city. The overall subject involved amounted to 151 students. Data collection method used is an motivation of achievement scale, the intelligence emotions scale and self-efficacy scale. Data analysis was done with regression analysis techniques. The results showed that: 1). significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy with the motivation of achievement, retrieved the value of F = 35.295 with p = 0.000 (p < 0.01) and R = 0.568 with an effective contribution amounting to 32.3%; 2). significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence with variable motivation of achievement, retrieved the value of t = 4.991 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.01), with an effective contribution amounting to 14.3%; 3). significant positive relationship between self-efficacy variable with motivation of achievement, retrieved the value of t = 7.841 and p = 0,000 (p < 0,01) with an effective contribution amounting to 29.2%.
