PENGEMBANGAN APLIKASI PERHITUNGAN BIAYA INSTALASI LISTRIK RUMAH TINGGAL BERBASIS CLIENT-SERVER

Listrik merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Hampir semua orang membutuhkan listrik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, seperti untuk penerangan, pearalatan rumah tangga dan lain-lain. Sebelum memasang instalasi listrik perlu dilakukan perencanaan yang matang sehingga bisa menyediakan tenaga listrik yang aman, efisien dan efektif. Pemasangan instalasi listrik sangat kompleks karena berkaitan dengan syarat dan kebutuhan bahan yang digunakan. Kompleksitas pemasangan instalasi listrik menyebabkan para kontraktor listrik membutuhkan waktu yang lama untuk melayani konsumen. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu sistem yang dapat memberikan informasi tentang biaya instalasi listrik, sehingga diperoleh suatu perencanaan yang memuaskan, efektif dan efisien. Pada penelitian ini dibuat pengembangan aplikasi berbasis client-server. Perangkat lunak (software) yang digunakan adalah Sistem Operasi Microsoft Windows XP Profesional, Database Server MySQL, Visual Basic 6.0 dan Crystal Report 8.5. Hasil pengembangan berupa aplikasi yang dapat digunakan untuk menghitung biaya instalasi listrik rumah tinggal. Aplikasi ini dibuat dengan kemampuan untuk dioperasikan pada jaringan client-server. Konsumen dapat melakukan konsultasi dan mengubah komponen instalasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang diinginkan. Selain itu aplikasi ini juga dibuat dengan pilihan jenis instalasi berdasarkan kualitasnya.

Electricity is highly important for human life. Almost all people need electricity in their daily life to meet such needs as lighting, domestic appliances and so forth. Before one is installing electricity, a careful planning needs to be taken to ensure safety, efficient and effective supply of electricity. Electric installation is a complicated work because it closely relates to the conditions and needs of materials to be used. Complexity in electric installation requires the electric contractors to secure much longer time to serve the consumers. Therfore, a system is highly needed to provide information regarding the costs of electric installation to secure a satisfying, effective and efficient planning. In this study, a project was carried out in regards to the development of the client-server based application. The softwares used were Microsoft Windows XP Profesional Operation System, Database Server MySQL, Visual Basic 6.0 and Crystal Report 8.5. The result of the development is an application usable in calculating the costs of household electric installation. This application is designed with the capacity to be operated in the client-server network. The consumers can make consultation and change the installation components suitable to their requirements. In addition, this application is also developed with a choice of installation based on the quality.
