Campus, which is overcrowded by motorized vehicles, will affect the safety, convenience, and air quality within university. In order to make cycling, which is the most sustainable transport mode, become more popular in GMU this research was conducted. The other objectives are to find out about travel characteristics of the students and staffs of GMU, the responds toward the implementation of KIK, the performance of ‘green bike’, and the preferences in suggested measures. There were two types of data collected, which are primary and secondary data. The secondary data were gathered from internet including map and population data, whereas the primary data as the main data were gained by conducting survey using online questionnaire from www.googlespreadsheet.com which was distributed by using social network website (www.facebook.com), emails, GMU portal website. Furthermore, the data was analyzed by using statistic descriptive method with the help of SPSS and Microsoft Excel. Unsurprisingly, the respondents were dominated by those who lived less than 3 km to GMU. It is a suitable distance for cycle or maybe walking, although they still prefer ride motorized vehicle. Their barriers for cycling were dangerous traffic condition, distance, and insufficient bicycle facilities. One third respondents who owned bicycle only cycle less once per week. Furthermore, almost none of them ever tried ‘green bike’, due to lack of information about the procedure and inconvenience factor due to climate condition and unmaintained bicycle condition. The possible measures to increase the number of cyclists would be facilities improvement and complementing ‘green bike’ with other bicycle scheme, such as bicycle rent. Furthermore, there would be a significant impact on mode shifting to cycling and walking if GMU completely forbid motorized vehicle use within campus.
