DESAIN SITUS YANG USER FRIENDLY BAGI PENDERITA BUTA WARNA

Buta warna adalah suatu keadaan dimana seseorang tidak dapat membedakan warna tertentu yang bisa dibedakan oleh orang dengan mata normal yang disebabkan karena kekurangan visi warna. Akibatnya penderita buta warna kurang bisa menerima informasi secara optimal informasi yang tersaji dalam internet. Situs merupakan sarana untuk menyajikan informasi yang dapat diakses dari belahan dunia manapun selama terkoneksi dengan jaringan internet. Desain situs yang baik adalah desain yang user friendly bagi pengguna. Untuk meningkatkan usabilitas situs khususnya bagi penderita buta warna perlu adanya desain situs yang user friendly bagi penderita buta warna. Warna merupakan bagian dari aspek seni dan tampilan yang perlu dikaji sehingga penderita buta warna mampu membedakan warna-warna dalam situs dengan baik dan nyaman. Pengelompokan warna menjadi salah satu solusi untuk memudahkan pengguna buta warna dalam membedakan warna. Dalam penelitian ini dibagi menjadi enam kelompok warna dengan basis merah, kuning, hijau, cyan, biru dan ungu berdasarkan warna-warna aman pada web (websafe color). Keenam warna tersebut dikelompokkan dengan pertimbangan Hue, Saturation dan Brightness. Dari hasil pengujian terhadap 18 responden dengan 8 item pertanyaan diketahui 84,72% responden merespon positif terhadap desain situs yang telah dibuat.

Colour blind is a condition in which a person is not able to differentiate certain colours that a person with healthy eyes could. This is because the person who is colour blind lack the colour vision. As a result, a person who is colour blind is not able to receive optimum information that is provided in the internet. Internet websites are facilities to provide information that can be accessed from all over the world as long as connected to the internet. Sites design which is good are sites that adopt a user-friendly design for users. Therefore, to increase the benefit of one sites is to make it user-friendly for colour blind users. Colours are part of the aspect of art and display that should be studied in the means of making a combination of colours that a colour blind user could easily identify and differentiate in a site. The grouping of colours is one of the solution that could ease colour blind users in defferentiating colours. In this study, there are 6 different groups of colours, colours based on red, yellow, green, cyan, blue and purple. The colours are safe colours based on a web (websafe colour). Those six colours were grouped by taking account the Hue, saturation, and brightness. The result of this study towards 18 respondent with 8 questions is 84,72% responded positively towards the site design that was created.
