PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH CAIR KAIN SASIRANGAN DENGAN PROSES KOAGULASI, FILTRASI DAN ADSORPSI

Limbah cair tersebut mempunyai kadar BOD, COD, TSS dan pH yang melebihi standar baku mutu limbah cair industri tekstil sehingga perlu dilakukan usaha pengelolaan. Metode yang dilakukan dengan proses koagulasi, filtrasi dan adsorpsi. Sampel yang digunakan dalam studi ini diambil dari limbah industri rumah tangga “Sasirangan Putri†Banjarmasin. Proses koagulasi dengan komposisi tawas 1 g/liter dan kapur 4 g/liter. Bahan filter menggunakan material lokal pasir sungai Barito dan kerikil sungai Awang Bangkal, sedangkan adsorben menggunakan batubara. Perbandingan volume filter dan adsorben adalah 4 : 1. Proses pengaliran up low dengan sistem kolom dengan laju aliran 100 ml/menit. Hasil penelitian dengan alat pengolahan kain sasirangan menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan nilai BOD, COD, TSS dan pH. Kemampuan maksimal alat pengolahan limbah cair kain sasirangan sebanyak 300 liter.
Wastewater of sasirangan is a by-product in the manufacture of sasirangan cloth. This wastewater have obtained levels of BOD, COD, TSS, and pH that exceeds the quality standard so that must be managed. Method is carried out with coagulation, filtration and adsorption. The sample used in this study was taken from household waste industry \"Sasirangan Putri\" Banjarmasin. The coagulation process with composition 1 g/liter alum and 4 g/liter lime. The filter material in the form of local materials using river Barito sand and river Awang Bangkal gravel, while the adsorbent using coal. Ratio of the filter and adsorbent volume is 4:1. The process of up low and batch system with a flow rate of 100 ml / min. The result using equipment of wastewater sasirangan cloth indicate that a decline in value of BOD, COD, TSS, and pH, and a maximum capacity of wastewater treatment equipment sasirangan cloth as much as 300 liters.
