PEMBARUAN PESANTREN DALAM NOVEL NEGERI LIMA MENARA KARYA AHMAD FUADI KAJIAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah pembaruan pesantren dalam Novel Negeri Lima Menara (NLM) karya Ahmad Fuadi. Tujuan penelitian untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang pembaruan pesantren dengan mengungkapkan dan mendeskripsikan tentang pembaruan pesantren dalam novel NLM. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori sosiologi sastra sebagai pisau bedahnya. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: 1) Proses peciptaan novel NLM tidak dapat dilepaskan dari konteks sosial pengarangnya yaitu Ahmad Fuadi yang mengeksprikan pengalaman hidupnya saat mengenyam pendidikan di pondok pesantren; 2) Latar belakang pendidikan dan pengalaman profesi pengarang berpengaruh terhadap karya sastra yang diciptakanya; 3) Novel NLM sebagai salah satu karya sastra memberikan gambaran adanya pembaruan pesantren yang sesuai dengan konteks saat ini; 3) Proses pembaruan yang digambarkan dalam NLM sesuai perspektif pembaruan dengan tidak mengganti keseluruhan sistem tradisional menjadi modern melainkan proses perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik dengan tidak meninggalkan tradisi pesantren; 4) Aspek-aspek pembaruan yang digambarkan dalam NLM meliputi pembaruan sistem pendidikan, peran kiai dan santri 5) Pembaruan pesantren yang digambarkan dalam novel NLM mempunyai akibat tertentu untuk menghasilkan lulusan pesantren yang mampu memenuhi tantangan zaman dengan tetap berpegang teguh kepada prinsip agama.

Analyzing this problem is the modernity of Islamic boarding school as reflected in Novel Negeri Lima Menara (NLM) by Ahmad Fuadi. The aim of this analysis is to reveal and describe the modernity Islamic school of the novel NLM. The analysis uses sociological literary theory as scalpel. his analysis shows: 1) the process of creating T NLM novel’s cannot be separated from the social context of the author, Ahmad Fuadi expresses his experience when he has been studying in islamic boarding school; 2) The educational background and professional experience of the author is an influence of the literary work that is created; 3) NLM novel’s is one of the literarywork reveals the modernity that happens in islamic boarding school now; 4) the modernity process is revealed in NLM as the prespective of islamic modernity does not change all of traditional systems to modern but the change process is to make better while does not abandon the islamic boarding school tradition; 5) the aspects of modernity is revealed in NLM conducts on Islamic boarding school, the system of education, the teacher and the students; 6) the modernity of Islamic boarding school is revealed in NLM novel’s which has a result to produce the description of islamic school process in NLM is the procurement of something that does not exist, change the functions and roles; to produce the islamic graduate can be able through the challenges while holding to the religion principles.
