KOMPETENSI KEPEMIMPINAN KLINIS DOKTER DAN DOKTER GIGI BARU

Latar be1akang: Sistem clinicalgovernance di rumah sakit diciptakan untuk memastikan mutu pelayanan. Salah satu faktor pemicu timbulnya mutu pelayanan yang baik adalah kepemimpinan. Kepemimpinan kUnismerupakan faktor utama yang berpengaruh terhadap kualitas pelayanan terhadap pasien. Kepemimpinan klinis tidak banyak dipelajari di sekolah-sekolah kedokteran. Kepemimpinan klinisdiduga dimiJikiJebih bessr pada dokter dan dokter gigi pria dibandingkan wanita, padahal jumlah dokter dokter gigi wanita telah meningkat selama beberapa dekade ini. Tujuan: Mengukur kompetensi kepemimpinan klinis dokter dan dokter gigi baru serta membandingkan kompetensi kepemimpinan klinispada dokter dan dokter gigibaru pria dan wanita. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dengan rancangan cross sectional survey. Respondenpada penelitian ini adalah 120 orang dokter baru lulusan FakultasKedokteranUniversitasGadjah Mada dan 44 orang dokter gigi baru lulusan FakultasKedokteranGigi UniversitasGadjah Mada periode Desember 2010. Sampel akan mengisi kuesioner yang diadopsi dari Medical Leadership Competency Framework yang telah disusun oleh National Health Service, United Kingdom (2010) untuk mengukur kompetensikepemimpinanklinis pada dokter baru. Kuesionerterdiri dari 5 dimensi kompetensikepemimpinanklinis, masing-masing memiliki 4 subdimensi.Setiapdimensidiwakilioleh 10-15pemyataanyang mempunyai skala penilaian1-5(skalaLikert). Hasllpenelltian:Rata-ratanilaikompetensikepemimpinanklinisdokterdan dokter gigibaru sebesar 3,66 dari skala 1-5. Rata-rata nilai tertinggi terdapat pada variabelmanagingservicessebesar 3,73. Tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kompetensi kepemimpinan klinis pria dan wanita. Respondenyang pemah mengikutiorganisasikemahasiswaanmempunyai nilai yang secara signifikan lebih tinggi dalam variabel demonstrating personalqualitiesdan workingwithothers. Keslmpulan: Kompetensi kepemimpinan klinis dokter dan dokter gigi baru telah mencapai hampir tiga perempat dari keseluruhan penilaian kompetensi. Dari lima kompetensi kepemimpinan klinis yang digunakan, kompetensi kepemimpinanklinis yang paling dominanadalah managingservices.Jenis kelamintidakmempengaruhikompetensikepemimpinanklinis. Background: Hospital clinical governance system was created to assure the quality of service. One of the crucial factor which affect the quality of service is leadership. Clinical leadership is the main factor that can improve the quality of care to the patient. Clinical leadership was rarely learned in the medical school. Clinical leadership was thought bigger in male doctor than female, whereas the amount of female physicians and dentists have increased this few decades. Objectives: Measuring the competencies of clinical leadership in the newly physicians and dentists, comparing those competencies of clinical leadership between male and female, and looking for the involvement of student organization on it. Method: This is a descriptive study with cross-sectional design. Samples in this study was 120 new physicians and 44 new dentists graduated from Medical Faculty and Dentistry Faculty of Gadjah Mada University in Desember 2010. They filled the self assessment questionaire adopted from Medical Leadership Competency Framework which was arranged by The National Health Service, United Kingdom (2010) to measure the clinical leadership competencies. The questionnaire was divided into 5 dimensions of clinical leadership, with 4 sub-dimensions. Each dimension has 10-15 questions which had 1-5 score scale (Ucert scsle). Result: The average score of the clinicslleadership competencies was 3,66 from 1-5 scale. The highest score was in the managing services dimension whish was 3,73. There was no significant difference between male and female clinical leadership competencies. Respondents who was involved in student organization have higher scores in demonstrating personal qualities and working with others. Conclusion: Clinical leadership of the newly physicians and dentists have reach the three-quarter of the whole competencies score. From the 5 dimensions, managing services is the most dominant competencies. Gender is not affect the clinicsl leadership. An involvement in student organization can be counted to increase clinical leadership.
