ANALISA DAN IMPLEMENTASI SISTEM DETEKSI INTRUSI PADA JARINGAN KECEPATAN TINGGI STUDI KASUS DI PT TELKOM SOLO

Kecepatan jaringan TCP/IP semakin lama semakin cepat dan menjadi tulang punggung utama bagi layanan komunikasi yang semakin konvergen. Pada kondisi tersebut ancaman keamanan semakin terbuka dan membutuhkan sistem deteksi intrusi yang efektif untuk mengantisipasi ancaman tersebut. Namun sayangnya sistem deteksi intrusi yang ada pada pada umunya tidak efektif digunakan pada jaringan kecepatan tinggi karena banyaknya false positif yang mungkin terjadi akibat loss packet pada saat penangkapan atau pemrosesan. Sementara itu penerapan sistem deteksi intrusi yang efektif tidak cukup hanya dengan memasang begitu saja aplikasi sistem deteksi intrusi yang dimiliki, namun dibutuhkan suatu proses yang kontinyu mulai dari proses asesmen, perancangan, penerapan dan pengelolaan. Pada tesis ini, permasalahan sistem deteksi pada kecepatan tinggi dan solusi-solusinya akan dibahas dan proses implementasi yang sebenarnya akan dikaji dengan mengambil studi kasus di PT Telkom Solo yang telah menggunakan jaringan TCP/IP berkecepatan tinggi.

Speed TCP / IP networks are increasingly fast and become the primary backbone for an increasingly convergent communications services. In these conditions of security threats require more open and effective intrusion detection systems to anticipate the threat. But unfortunately the existing intrusion detection systems in general are not effective in use on high speed networks because the number of false positive that may occur due to packet loss at the time of arrest or processing. Meanwhile, the implementation of an effective intrusion detection system is not enough to simply install the application intrusion detection system that is owned, but required a continuous process starting from the process of assessment, design, implementation and management. In this thesis, the problem detection system at high speed and its solutions will be discussed and the actual implementation process will be reviewed by a case study in PT Telkom Solo who have been using TCP / IP high speed.
