PERANAN PENGASUHAN ORANGTUA PEMBINAAN KEMAHASISWAAN DAN AKTIVITAS-AKTIVITAS YANG DILAKUKAN TERHADAP PERFORMANSI IDEAL MAHASISWA

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui apakah pengasuhan orangtua, pembinaan kemahasiswaan, dan aktivitas-aktivitas yang dilakukan, berperanan terhadap terbentuknya performansi ideal mahasiswa. Penelitian ini juga ingin mengetahui bagaimana perbedaan performansi ideal, pengasuhan orangtua, pembinaan kemahasiswaan dan aktivitas-aktivitas yang dilakukan antara mahasiswa berprestasi dengan tokoh, mahasiswa aktivis, maupun mahasiswa non aktivis. Responden/subjek utama penelitian ini adalah 115 mahasiswa berprestasi, yang berasal dari Perguruan Tinggi Negeri di Surabaya, Jember, dan mahasiswa berprestasi PTS se Jawa Timur tahun 2007, 2008, 2009, serta mahasiswa yang lolos seleksi mahasiswa berprestasi masuk kategori 15 besar nasional, hasil seleksi tahun 2007 dan 2008. Sebagai subjek pembanding adalah 48 tokoh, 138 mahasiswa aktivis, dan 145 mahasiswa non aktivis yang berasal dari Perguruan Tinggi di Surabaya, Malang, dan Jember. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi dengan SPSS 16 ditemukan bahwa; Pengasuhan Orangtua, Pembinaan Kemahasiswaan, dan Aktivitas-aktivitas yang Dilaku-kan, secara bersama berperan terhadap Performansi Ideal Mahasiswa. Selain itu Pengasuhan orangtua berperan terhadap Performansi ideal Mahasiswa Berprestasi. Hal senada terjadi pada kelompok Tokoh dan Mahasiswa Non aktivis, sedangkan pada kelompok Mahasiswa Aktivis, Pengasuhan orangtua tidak berperan terhadap Performansi ideal. Pembinaan Kemahasiswaan berperan terhadap Performansi Ideal Mahasiswa Berprestasi. Hal ini tidak terjadi pada kelompok Mahasiswa Aktivis, maupun Mahasiswa Non aktivis, pada ketiga kelompok ini Pembinaan kemahasiswaan tidak berperan terhadap Performansi ideal. Selain itu Aktivitas-aktivitas yang dilakukan berperan terhadap Performansi ideal Mahasiswa Berprestasi, Tokoh, Mahasiswa Aktivis, maupun Mahasiswa Non Aktivis. Ditemukan perbedaan Performansi, antara Mahasiswa Berprestasi dengan Tokoh, Mahasiswa Aktivis, dan Mahasiswa Non-aktivis. Performansi Mahasiswa Berprestasi lebih ideal daripada performansi Tokoh, Mahasiswa Aktivis, maupun Mahasiswa Non aktivis. Ditemukan perbedaan Pengasuhan orangtua, Pembinaan kemahasiswaan, maupun Aktivitas-aktivitas yang dilakukan antara Mahasiswa Berprestasi dengan Tokoh, Mahasiswa Aktivis, maupun Mahasiswa Non aktivis. Ketiga variabel ini pada Mahasiswa Berprestasi lebih baik/maksimal dibandingkan Tokoh, Mahasiswa Aktivis, maupun Mahasiswa Non-aktivis.

The purpose of the research is to obeserve whether parenting, student development and conducted activities plays a role in building the ideal performance of a student. This research also intends to seek out the difference of the ideal performance between performance student with prominent figure, activist student, and non-activist student The respondent/main subject of this research are 115 performance students from State Universities in Surabaya, Jember, and along with the Private Universities students who participate in the selection of Kopertis Wilayah VII Jawa Timur in 2007, 2008, 2009 and also the 15 national-ranked students who passed the selection of performance students based on the selection in 2007 and 2008. The comparative subjects will be 48 prominent figures and 138 activist students, and 145 non activist students from Universities in Surabaya, Malang, and Jember. Based on the regression analysis using SPSS 16, it is found that: Parenting, Student Development, and Conducted Activities, collectively, play the role in building Student Ideal Performance. Furthermore, parenting plays a role toward the Ideal performance of Performance Student. The same thing happens to Prominent Figure and Non-activist student group, while on Activist Student group, Parenting doesnot play a role on Ideal Performance. Student Development plays a role toward Ideal Performance of Performance Student. This doesnot happen on Activist Student and Non-activist Student group. On these three group, the Student Development doesnot play a role toward Ideal Performance. Besides, Conducted Activities plays a role toward the Ideal Performance on Performance Student, Prominent Figure, Activist Student, and Non-activist Student. There is a difference on Performance between Performance Student with the group of Prominent Figure, Activist Student and Non-activist Student. The performance of performance student is more ideal than of prominent figure, activist student, and non-activist student. There is a difference on Parenting, Student Development, and Conducted Activities between Performance Student with the group of Prominent Figure, Activist Student and Non-activist Student. These three variables are better on the Performance Student than of Prominent Figure, Activist Student, and Non-activist Student.
