Sejalan dengan pesatnya kemajuan teknologi informasi yang berbasis komputer, di bangun Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) berbasis web dengan informasi spasial yang berisi informasi potensi sumber daya mineral di Timor Leste untuk mendukung kemudahan informasi kepada masyarakat luas, investor ataupun pemerintah yang akan mendapatkan informasi atau melihat potensi sumber daya mineral di Timor Leste. Informasi dari Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) berbasis web ini diharapkan akan efektif dan cepat untuk menarik investor dan pemerintah, sehingga dapat membantu dalam mengolah serta meningkatkan pendapatan daerah dari sektor potensi sumber daya mineral yang ada di Timor Leste. Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) berbasis web potensi daerah ini mempunyai kemampuan mengolah data yang bereferensi geografis (spasial) dan atribut menjadi informasi online yang berdaya guna. Model solusi dari aplikasi informasi potensi sumber daya mineral di Timor Leste ini, menggunakan teknologi SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) yang terintegrasi di dalam suatu Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) berbasis web, dengan teknologi ini maka lebih memudahkan dalam memperoleh informasi melalui layanan internet yang bisa di akses di seluruh dunia oleh semua orang serta memudahkan semua orang untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang potensi sumber daya mineral yang ada di Timor Leste.

Along with the rapid progress of information technology, computer-based, built on Geographic Information System (GIS) web-based spatial information which contains information on potential of resource mineral in Timor-Leste to support the ease of information to wide society and investors or government to have obtain information or to see the potential in in Timor Leste. This Information from the Geographic Information System (GIS) is expected to be an effective web-based and fast way to attract investors and goverment to have obtain information on potential of resource mineral in Timor Leste, which can help improve the local revenue from existing regional potential of resource mineral in Timor Leste. Geographic Information System (GIS) web-based potential of this region have the capability to process data geographically referenced (spatial) and attributes to online information useful. The Solution of model in the application system information potential of resource mineral in Timor Leste with the technology SVG (Scalable Vektor Graphics) and integrated in a Geographical Information System (SIG) web-based, this technology can be hence more facilitating in obtaining information with the existence of service in internet and can in accessing in all the world by everybody and also can be earn to facilitate the everybody to get the information about potential of resource mineral in Timor Leste.
