The study aimed to find out an innovative behavior determinant model. Using participants of the 2008 Student Creativity Program of Universitas Gadjah Mada as research subjects and analyzing the data with structural equation model, the study found a model of innovative behavior determinant. This model suggests that a group approach through knowledge sharing strengthened the relationships between intrinsic motivation, trust, transformational leadership, and accessibility to information technology and innovative behavior. The generalizability of the model is limited. Knowledge sharing and innovative behavior received greater contribution from intrinsic motivation and trust than from transformational leadership and accessibility to information technology. The intrinsic motivation was based on protrude need for improving selfcompetence. The between group member trust was competence-based. The most valued character of the supervisor was his/her idealized influence but they are less able to encourage the groups to behave innovatively. Students’ innovative behavior was still dominated by discussing ideas.
